I do hope that he is ok. This will be unpopular but he should probably consider retiring from driving at least. Not that he can't still do it, more that as you get older your body takes a lot longer to recuperate from things like this.

Looked like the Super Charger locked up!...? I once worked for PSI and Force once bought 3 Super Chargers, returned them later after (supposedly) reverse engineering Norm Drazy's model. PSI was supplying every top runner in those days.

They should find out who put the dynamite in there in the first place. That should be against the rules.

Glad John is Ok after that horrific crash. The crewmember they interviewed said thank God that they were able to compete like that. God was watching out after John at 302 mph. That is evident.

How did he take that hit, how did he stay in the furnace that long. God bless him!

Can’t even fathom what hitting a wall, glancing blow or not, at 300+ MPH is like. You can’t even begin to wrap your head around it.

That wreck brought back echoes of Dale Sr’s head-on into the wall that ultimately took his life! So glad he was at least alert and moving under his own strength! Prayers for him and his family.

Hope the old man is okay. I went to school with Courtney back in Yorba Linda and my dad raced Super Stock so John was always a topic of conversation around our house. I haven't followed racing much in the last 20 years and I'm just amazed to find out that he's still racing at his age, let alone tough enough to come away from a wreck like that.

John!!! You have nothing to prove...you can quit now. You kids and grandkids need you more than us drag fans. Please......

The old man is a legend in drag racing. The safety of the car's has come from the force team. After John's crash's and after Eric was killed in Gainesville during testing the Monday after the race many changes made John crashed Texas, several changes, Scott in English town, several other crashes made it possible for John to survive this crash. 75 years old maybe it's time

John force is an American treasure and must be protected at all costs.
