how to fix a lens that wont focus on a pair of Bushnell binos
thanks bro i fixed my because i was afraid i will ruin them but now working fine thanks dude mine were luxun 10x42
On my Bushnell Prime on one side, the focus cannot be changed; this side does not react on turning the focus knob. I have removed the focus knob and saw the two "rods" as seen in this video (the brass colored ones). One of the seems to be loose on the inside. If I pull this one up and down manually, focussing on that side does not change. The rods have a screwdriver slot, but turning it with a screwdriver seems not to tighten the rod.... Is there some trick or do I have to disassemble the binoculars a bit further?
Thank you for the post
Thank you for your input
Best review on this product I’ve seen so far. Thanks for the review
Thanks for the comment @holysmoke96. Glad I could help you out!
dose Bushnell have a warranty?

Hi. I have the Bushnell 10×42 sportsman and the set up is a bit different. Can you help me please
Anyone k ow how to clean the inside of the ocular lens? The center of both eye lenses are “foggy” or dirty.

Thanks for making this video. Great help.
Bushnell Birding series fix - Splay out both "turrets" to their widest setting (like you have eyes really wide apart). Locate hole on underside of focus ring. Push a small wire (I used smallest Allen key) through to pop off small disk focus ring cover (saying Bushnell). Once off, the same adjustment screw (I could only find one) can be found in the small holes. Many thanks for this. Really useful and I fixed my binoculars! I have been looking for ages how to fix them and I could not have done it without this video.
I got on here to research these exact binos. Took them out of the safe and the two sides do not have the same field of view. My left side is pointing a total different area. Thanks for posting this so I can trouble shoot these thing or send in for service.
My pursuit bino right eye piece is stuck. Can’t adjust to focus in different distances. Any idea on how to fix that problem ? .
Have you fixed it, or do you want help?
Same problem with the same bino and bought the same.
Dear Video blogger Hello I learned about you on CZcams, and I really like the video you took. I am an Amazon seller and want to seek cooperation with you. We are launching the new 20x50 binoculars, and we are looking for you to make an evaluation video. We can provide you with a 20x50 binoculars for free or give you a certain amount of compensation. Do you have time to do the evaluation video? Looking forward to your reply. Thank you very much. Sincerely Amazon seller
Thank you so much, I searched and searched, finally someone with the same problem. The only difference is, mine are Brunton . Similar circumstances though. Again, thank you!
Does anyone know what happens when you screw these plungers clockwise or anti-clockwise? They’re attached to the focusing mechanisms I believe, so can you actually adjust the focusing range by screwing/unscrewing on these plungers?
Thanks. This helped me as my diopter was out
Bushnell has a “No Questions Asked” lifetime warranty. They will service any optic, inside and out free of charge.
Does that also apply to cheapos?
Not with the Powerview 12x25 compact binoculars. This model has multiple complaints regarding the ocular eye cups breaking off. Bushnell has refused to warranty this issue.
@@dwincey2836 Do you have a pair of the Powerviews?
This classic keeps doing the trick! Mark it, another pair of saved 10x42s. I thank you Sir.
Awesome! Thanks so much!
No more Busnells for me.
Sweet video
thank you very much for the fix.
Watched your video, fixed me Zhumell 8x42 binoculars. I owe you a beer! THANKS.
So this saved me a lot of hassle. These are my first set of binoculars but they have rebranded them the bushnell Prime and they cheaped out on that part the screws fit onto and made it out of some crap plastic. So I don't know if it was my fault or someone else's but the left side had the same problem but the plastic is stuffed so I'll be taking it back to exchange for either a better set or some other set.
You just saved me!
Insteaf Vortex try the Awesome New... FORGE from Bushnell.
You beauty, I thought mine were buggered, had them lying around for 6 months, now they are perfect, THANX mate. 👍
Stevo Williams glad I could help!
The model name is Bushnell powerview. These are awesome I have them. I scored on a clearance deal. 70 dollars regular price on clearance for 17dollars
Thanks, this also works on Celestron Trailseeker 8X42 which btw looks exactly the same than your Bushnell. Probably the same product with different branding. I had a different problem though. The relation between left and right focus was off and I had to adjust the diopter as far as it went. Now after adjusting the screw on the right I can keep the diopter in the middle and both sides are focused. Time will tell if it lasts that way.
I have the same problem. Also turned the screw on the right and now I can focus the diopter
Thanks a lot. That helped.
I have a H2O 8x25 roof prism and it gives me headaches besides never seems really in focus. Never more Bushnell.
I had a focusing problem like this with my Vortex Crossfire 8x42 binos -- had no idea I could fix it myself until I saw this video. Thanks for saving me 300 bucks!
Hey glad I could help! I also have vortex optics. Maybe you already know but vortex has a lifetime warranty on all their optics. They'll replace it or fix them for free. I've used their warranty when I dropped mine on my tile floor. All I had to pay for was shipping to the factory. Had them back in less than 2 weeks.
Nice catch! Is this Box Elder Creek in Wyoming? Is this in the northern part of Medicine Bow National Forest, off of Box Elder Road?
Judging based on it's in box elder county. Only Utah has a box elder county. So, it's probably the one is Bringham city.
' my binocular cannot be remove the eyelen screw and clean the len
You bloody legend thanks to you I fixed mine.Wish I had the coin for some vortex. But Another kid on the way no casholla for me.thanks again mate great vid very much appreciated.
Where can I buy one of those flat brimmed hats?
How do I detached one of the binocular? There is no fixing mine because one of my lens got completely crushed but the other one seems to be working fine. I figured I just use one of them but I want to remove the other one
Mine had this problem it helped me thanks! Just needed to adjust the screws a bit from all the quad/hunting trips they must have vibrated loose
You probably want Hilary for president also.
That was great for a comeback😂😂😂😂😂
The rubber cap is glued on. If you take a small flat head and run it under the cap from the bottom it should come off. It might take a little force.
Hi. I have the same problem, thanks for your video! I can not take off the cup. How can I do it? Thanks again.
Ana Lucía Huerta Vinueza you need to be pretty rough with it to get it off. It's glued.
