PROBLEM SOLVED! How to Print to Scale on Google Sketchup
I bet you have tried it all... looked everywhere, just like I did with no success finding a solution. HERE IT IS! I will be going through the finicky process of solving this problem (Working around).
Main things to remember:
1. Set to a top, side or, other views
2. Make sure your camera is in parallel projection
3. Print to Microsoft XPS and if it doesn't work and your page is still blank, DO IT AGAIN AND IT WILL!
4. Limit your screen to only showing the template you want to print to scale, you do this by making your window smaller.
5. Always nice to set your style so it is only in wireframe/hidden line mode. (this saves on ink)
6. Check if you are in parallel projection again!
7. Print to the Microsoft XPS
8. Then open your file you just named and downloaded and print from there!

Here is a simple way to make your own cork strike indicators. 1/2” cork balls, www.widgetco.com/1-2-inch-cork-balls-agglomerated 1mm stretch magic www.hobbylobby.com/Beads-Jewelry/Bead-Stringing-Chains/Stretch-Cord/Clear-Stretch-Magic-Bead-&-Jewelry-Cord 1mm/p/12372 Yarnology tapestry needles www.hobbylobby.com/Fabric-Sewing/Sewing-Quilting-Notions/Pins-Needles/Tapestry-Needles Size-16/p/52241 ...
How can i transfer it to a flash drive
your a star, printer was driving me crazy too... well done mate
The balls are 32 cents apiece.
A little bit more expensive than they were, still have some left though! The natural works better than agglomerate.
@@ModernWoodShop you can get a foam ball that the exterior is like a ping pong ball and foam on the inside. Get them at Hobbie lobbie
@@adventureswithfrodo2721 very good idea.
Wow man thanks... Was experiencing the same issue..
you really helped me. Thanks
Thank You it was very helpful, it's a headache
No problem.. after the struggle I had to make a video!
Finally ! Thank you so much. As you say, it makes no sense at all, but it DOES work!
Great idea. I wish 1/2” cork balls were still that price :). How sturdy is the stretch magic? Have you had the line cut through it, especially when you hook a heavier fish?
The line is very durable, I’ve never had an issue with it breaking.
This has been most helpful but I get all the way to the point when I want to print and can't get it to print. Parallel Projection is selected. I get stuck when I want to print and a dialog box opens and aske "Save Output as". I enter a name and save it to my desk top. When I select print again, I get the Sketchup message "Could not start print job. I'm stuck at this point. I need some help.
I solved my problem. I did not have XPS Viewer installed on my computer. I have installed it and now it works, Thanks Maxwell
@@NOHATEALAWWED34 Glad this helped out! Sorry i didnt see the comment earlier.
It worked!Thanks!!
How did you cut an opening in the eye of the needle?
I actually used the wire cutter on my leathermen. You could also use a ton snips or an electrical pliers!
Very cool!!
Sean Ferree thanks, got most of the materials listed in the description. They are kinda fun to make too!
