HOUGHTON FEAST VIRTUAL FAIRGROUND MODEL SHOW 2020
The ‘John Murphy’ Fairground model show takes a new format this year! Footage showing working and static fairground models, many of which have been skilfully made by local fairground enthusiasts, will premiere on the CZcams channel of Houghton Heritage Society.
This virtual fairground model show, now in its third year, was named in honour of the late showman John Murphy who supported Houghton Feast for 70 years. In the video, we get to meet some of the people who made the models and hear their stories.

A walk over the Gateshead 'Blinking Eye' Millennium Bridge. We see the bridge lift up to allow boats to pass underneath on the river Tyne, before it resets and allows pedestrians to walk over it. The World's First tilting bridge was filmed in June 2019.
