Mrs. Prim tries to judge Miss Lovely because of the way she dresses. Miss Lovely calls her a hypocrite considering the things her son has done. This works well with the lyrics, “I know I’m not perfect/And that I don’t claim to be. So before you point your fingers,/ Be sure your hands are clean.” Mrs. Prim is judging Miss Lovely and is angry that she won’t fall into line, but her own son is the one sinning, and Obadiah, Mrs. Prim’s husband isn’t innocent either.
