Each horizontal trace is a spectrum corresponding to one interferometric output of the GLINT instrument. Bright outputs reveal variations in the input optical beam wavefront due to residual atmospheric turbulence. Data taken at 1680Hz, slowed down to 30Hz, saturated, log scale. Flashing speckles at 1kHz were added using the deformable mirror, for astrometric and photometric calibration.

Data was taken at 100 frames/sec. For a playback of total 6 sec with 25 fps. The images have been aligned by centre-of-mass to remove tip-tilt (which is the current limitation).

This sequence shows that although short exposure PSF is diffraction-limited (FWHM~16mas), jitter smears the long exposure PSF to approximately FWHM=22mas in this sequence (~15mas jitter). Some low-order instability also visible. Note that the first Airy ring is not symmetric due to residual non-common path error between nearIR and visible.
