Marc- I saw many of your videos about testing the old Mercury outboards. I have a 1958 Mercury Mark 55E. I was wondering how you had your water hose setup to feed the impeller while on the test stand. Do you connect the water hose directly to the intake pipe inside the cavitation plate, or are you just shooting water into the intake via a hose nozzle? Of course, I can't use muffs on this motor. I usually need to drop it in a barrel of water for testing. Just curious...

There is a hose attachment you can buy from Mopar Mall

I got a set of them. They were the king of outboards in their day.

Nice . I have one of these engines. 1959 it looks just like this one. I'm trying to get it running for him. But it has sat so long everything is frozen. Except the engine. It still turns. But the lower end is stuck. It's a pain in the butt. But haven't given up yet

I have a couple of Mark 58 Mercurys . Do you take these on to restore . I am working on a 59 Lone Star , can't find anyone here in Alabama to work on the motor . I could ship it to you with all of the parts already painted . From the Parts motor .
