Time for Love

This labyrinth was made of 1000 Tons of stone. It required 3000 hours, and was built by 12 folks who lived together in the month of September 2021 in Walland, Tennessee. We loved every moment of it, even the torrential rain, the epic mud and the occasional snake, bear or boar. This is a walk through of the entire sculpture. 1000 feet to the center and another 1000 feet to get out again.

These are stairs we built in Austria at the Gartenbauschule in Langenlois. We were asked to be guests there to teach dry stone walling and work on this wall where bees would be kept

Time Sweeps is a new installation at Rowan University's new School of Earth and Environment called Discovery Hall. This stone sculpture doubles as an outdoor classroom. We built it from Pennsylvania Fieldstone, capped with Buff Colorado Sandstone. Each of the three walls is bounded in a boulder of the 7 sub types:( Schist, Gneiss, Basalt Rhyolite, Gabbro, Granite and Conglomerate). This sculptu...

Why make Art
zhlédnutí 155Před 2 lety
To be an artist is such a complex matter. One is driven to share: inspired by drama, constantly wishing for peace. Creating an order from chaos, hearing a rhythm and laying lines to follow that pattern. not only for ones self, but also as a model for others to carry on after you pass, or to fill the living world with beauty, or to be completely ignored in a rush to get to the next spot, or the ...
Rowan Art Gallery: The Nature of Time

This is a walk through of my May-July exhibition at the Rowan Art Gallery. The intention of this show was to demonstrate to viewers what they could expect to see on campus that was under construction at the time the show was up. The show was subsequently packed up and reused as materials in a new location on campus and the images returned to Vermont to wait for the next time.

Where is this in Morrisville, VT exactly? Amazing!
Is there an update on this one?
Looks like CAE. There's no treatment aside from keeping a closed herd to avoid contamination. You can cull them, or just let them live their lives. CAE is an infection that causes arthritis. Goat's that have it can continue to live rather normal lives, though they look pretty ragged.
wow, love your work. I have been doing stonework for a couple years now, and your work has been a huge inspiration to me. Jay White Cloud has been a mentor for my projects and suggested following you to Italy. I am wishing that I did now, do you have any slave positions open for upcoming projects?
CARRIE is Chilean...from Chile soth America......not Mexican GODDDDDDD
Just found your website last night: brilliant, amazing work. Your obvious joy in and passion for your work is beautiful and contagious! The little red robin is pretty darn cute too! Thank you so much for sharing your creativity.
No. He was grumpy because he was a stupid belligerent horses-ass (that's what others said about him, not me). And he had nothing to say about the stone of Split. He just said the women there had hairy armpits, big shoulders and wore combat boots. I did not know "Washington's White House" was built with fancy stone from Yugoslavia, I thought it was built with Pennsylvania Limestone. Just regular/normal/boring/ limestone. Thanks for the education. ;-)
:DD sure.. Split is a city on the coast, there are some islands around Vis, Brač, Hvar,... Atilla was most likely from the island of Brač, they're proud of theirs famous quality stone which was used to build up Washington's White House and a palace of roman emperor Diocletian in Split, maybe he was so proud of his perfect stone and grumpy because he worked with you using some regular/normal/boring stone xDD +the dialect spoken in Brač may sound like woe woe to the rest of the Croats
Fair enough. :) Woe Woe Woe The island of , Split (or was it , Shplit?) is where Atilla the Hun came from. He was an asshole, but I liked him, he's dead now. Nothing but Memories now.
Ah! A Croat. :) I used to work with a Croatian mason here in America a long time ago. We called him, 'Attila the Hun', because he was big and scary. He was a nice guy when he wanted to be, but most of the time he didn't want to be. But when he was happy, he would sing songs in his native tongue while he worked; songs like, " Woe Woe Woe ... Woe woe WOE! ... woe woe woe. Yeah, he was something else, a real asshole.
dry-stone walls rocks! :D (my ancestors used that technique all the time, the buildings are still in use, walls persisted earthquakes and rough climate for centuries) greetings from Croatia
Great pics !

i was there for this.
