After having the same issue, I just came up with an awesome solution! If no wi-fi is showing up, here is my solution: ***You need a smart phone*** Now, I don't know if this works with iPhone, so if someone knows, please share, I have a Samsung Galaxy phone. Connect your USB cord from your phone to your PC/Laptop. (Samsung instructions - but again, maybe iPhone will have a similar way) But go to your phone's settings. Then connections. Then Mobile Hotspot and Tethering. Then turn USB Tethering "ON". Then your PC/Laptop will use the Wi-FI connection from your phone. After a moment or so, then your Wi-fi Settings should show up on your action center. If you see your wi-fi router, then click on it, add your password and then you can disconnect your phone and you are all set! I hope this helps!! So many videos didn't help!
