I noticed the version number you're on is 2 major patches behind current. The current version has some good fixes and balances (mainly, it allows you to gather all different types of resources like seeds, psyche, and mining materials while only bringing one tool on a run -- so long as you've unlocked the tool for a given resource). Anyways... Death to Chronos n' such. ⌛

That was a brutal loss. Same as what happened to me the first time. XD Definitely need to keep the stake above 0 health, or you'll lose 45 health every 3 skills, which is impossible to heal from. SO yeah, you can't win the first time, because you won't have enough healing without being fully prepared. Still, the music is banging.

As of June 2024, this still works! Was able to do this today for the first time. I believe the hit boxes may be slightly different if you use the alternate skin for this character. I was able to complete it with the same skin shown in the video, but not the alternate.

That was truly a clutch win if I ever saw one... XD Although you made some mistakes (especially not reading in the last fight), you did REALLY well for a first run. I mean, even the game itself congratulated you. haha. Congratulations from me too.

I don't get the Harry Potter sorting hat reference. Evolved Cavallo just looks like a Moomin character to me.

I want to like this game but I get frusterated by the constantly misleading descriptions on stuff. For example, Momori's 'inner desire' cards say they nuke you for a variable amount of your hp based on mechanics that don't matter, and that the damage cannot finish you off past the last stand mechanic (I forget the term). Well here I am with 75% of her hp left, the enemies have no incoming attacks, I hit end turn, and the stupid inner desire actually ignores the last stand mechanic and kills her off instantly! So not only does it not fail at killing you off when you're in last stand status, it actually pierces thru it and kills you off WITHOUT having a last stand status at all! Let's not even mention that it completely bypasses her 40% damage reduction she's supposed to get. It doesn't say it does/will, but it does. I also got to some gunslinger boss in the hidden area. reading his description it says he gains an invincibility shield for a turn when down to 1 hp. So I'm fighting him and I got 3characters alive at about 60% health each, and I can take him down to 1hp that turn if I do a kind of reckless attack ignoring defenses. his revolver thing was at 3/6, so I had no worries about that. So I nuke him down to 1, and fully accept if he kills of a character, or maybe even 2 (though I couldn't see how with only 1 attack left that turn, and probably 2 the next). But no, he goes invincible, and then proceeds to nuke all my guys who were at 60% hp down to 0, trigger their last stand, and nuke them again dead, all in one turn. that's 6 attacks. It said nothing about getting 6 attacks. the heck? There's one other thing I recall that's actually beneficial to the player rather than harmful. Is Huz's harmful healing mechanics. I cannot understand it one bit, but they do NOT do what the cards say they do. Alot of her heals also hurt you, and whip of love, despite it not saying so, seems to automatically heal any of your pain damage she inflited on you, heal it up completely, and then heal you further. Meanwhile another heal of hers (forgot which one), does NOT seem to do this, and wont even heal the pain damage she did to you alone, let alone go beyond that. I'm aware that her 'healing pain' debuff says it will stop hurting and turn into a heal when you reach last stand, but whip of love seems to not need this to happen in order to behave the way I describe. I just can't enjoy a game where the rules are actually not what they say they are.

i dunno if the unlock condition is supposed to be crazy hard now, but i unlocked him on accident. From what i've seen of older videos i was kinda dreading trying to unlock him so i wasnt even sure it was the same character when it said that i had unlocked a character

Something weird happens to the sound about 10min into the video. While youre running around on the map its making an annoying buzzing noise every couple of seconds, doesnt do it if youre in the menu picking upgrades and stuff, only during active play. Tried ignoring it and watching anyway but its just too annoying.

Nice job! Especially liked the part where you go "That's why I'm surprised one hasn't died yet"... just as the OG Reaper disintegrated. Oyster sauce is fantastic especially with Asian green leafy veggies, like bok choy. You don't even really need to do much. Boil the veggies to your desired softness, stir fry a bit of garlic till brown, and top it off with a generous dash of oyster sauce, and that's more or less how it's done in restaurants. Just make sure you get the authentic stuff and not oyster-flavoured sauce. There are lots of seafood sauces - fish sauce, of course, but also abalone sauce. And prawn/shrimp sauce (cincalok) from Southeast Asia, if you like a bit of spice in your diet. Also, if you're interested in making authentic fried rice, check out Uncle Roger (or Nigel Ng). Unc. Rog. is a character played by said Nigel Ng who 'reviews' various different people who (attempt to) make egg fried rice. Including Gordon Ramsay. The guy went viral ~2020 for whatever reason.

perhaps omni is why runetracers are escaping. more speed and area messing with the prescise hitboxes needed to keep em trapped

Someone in chat asked for Nate to play the worst builds in the game, and I'm trying to think what the worst build is. Start with Trouser, pick nothing from his starting Candybox, and pick Game Killer as your starting arcanum to guarantee you never level up? It also probably guarantees you can't finish a stage, although you could get some kills by picking up stage weapons, or by using the pre-placed experience gems on some stages to start the Game Killer chain reaction. Actually the chain reaction would probably net a lot of kills, there has to be an even worse strategy for those stages that start with an XP gem. Set weapons to 1, take Lifesign Scan? With the ability to level up, stage weapons might still bail you out, on stages that have them, but you could just not pick them up.

The reason he wasn't dying to the Reaper for a bit there at the end was because he still had invincibility from picking up the healing items the Sammy enemies were dropping. Each time you pick up a chicken or pie or whatever, you get a fraction of a second of i-frames. It's when you flash white after you pick it up. That's not much, but this time stacks if you pick up multiple recovery items quickly. And, since he was picking up so many from all the Sammys, that time stacked for quite a while. He must've been gaining multiple seconds of invincibility per second.

This is a cool setup. I'd like to try it out. The background in my Bat Country flashes like crazy. This is reproducible in Windows 10 and Linux, so I guess it's something to do with my graphics card, maybe? I tried googling but of course noone else has the same problem as me, as always. :/ My graphics card is an old passively cooled GeForce 1030.

just a heads up if you get seal 2/3 unlocks each level(which costs the same as Seal 1) gives 2/3 seals for each level. just seal some evolved weapons and banish a bunch of weapons as queen sigma to unlock them.

Fun fact: starting from origo, barring obstacles, you can reach any point in the 2D-plane by only going forward or turning right. Or turning at any fixed nonzero angle really. The same does not hold for 3D. Also, I would totally play a game called Eels and Escalators.
