That coconut water is everything!!!
It's sooo good
I'm glad you and your baby are okay. I have brain damage because of things that happened while my mom was in labor, and the only reason I am alive today is thanks to an emergency c-section. Sometimes intervention is needed.
What brand of magnesium bicarbonate do you recommend?
I linked them in the description! I use @mitigatestress
What brand(s) of coconut water do you recommend?
She is drinking Harmless Harvest here, itâs pink coconut water and so good! I am actually not a big fan of coconut water but that one is the best!
@@naturalleejess700 oh thank you!!
Oh my I need to make this. Definitely better than the Propel packets. Thank youâ€
Youâre glowing girl!
Can't stand coconut water. You guys enjoy!
You can try with spring water, watermelon juice, orange juice, or any other fresh juice
I love that! U might like lime ginger honey and water if u havenât tried
Yes! Currently pregnant and trying to get the healthy electrolytes in any way I can! đ â€
YES I CAN TASTE IT THROUGH THE SCREEN! BTW Your Baby is so cute! God Bless!!
It is delicious!! Thank you :) God bless!
We have a very similar story. The healing is hard, youâre right. It does get better but never goes away. The feeling of not having the birth that you had hoped for. I was also the same and determined for one thing to go how I wanted and I ended up exclusively breastfeeding my first for 22 months! There is a lot of healing feeling like you failed but you know you didnât. Iâm glad you shared, Iâm there with you and itâs been almost 11 years now â€
Name her cotton because she looks like a cotton ball
I am at a loss for the right words. You captured and covered everything so beautifully. Thank you for sharing this story and spreading education to future mothers. So happy you found peace in your story.
Using natural oils for scalp massages really helps in hair fall control. Oils like coconut, onion, and rosemary are particularly good. I mix a few drops of rosemary oil with my littllextraa cocooninon shampoo with hair oil, and this really helped in seeing good hair growth.
You are brave and strong lady Amanda!!! God bless you and your beautiful family!!! đ
What blush did you use? I love it. Beautiful look btw.
I remember commenting on a video when you were pregnant. I said you have to be open to other things because sometimes it doesnât go the way that you planned. I also wanted the natural birth, wanted all of those things and it went completely backwards. Im not sure what is happened to you to make you believe that medical intervention causes issues. In some cases like yours in mind and may have saved both of your lives. Sometimes when a babyâs heart rate drops and continues to do it, a C-section is in fact, medically necessary unless you plan on potentially losing that heart rate forever .. sometimes you have to leave it in the hands of the medical professionals..
My birth story is so similar to this story. So proud of you.
Drinking plenty of water every day, my hair feels nourished and stronger. Staying hydrated plays a role in hair density. I also combined this with application of liiitllextra cocooinnion shampoo & natural hair oil. This worked well and the amount of hair I lost dropped by a good 95 percent.
Without pitocin i would have died. I tried to have a very natural birth and i did deliver in a tub, but i am an unusual case where i dont feel contractions unless im in active labor. I NEED Pitocin to contract bc after delivery, i simply stopped contracting and hemorrhaged. I would have died had i not had medical intervention. I dont think you realize how many women and babies just literally died before we had medical advancements like we do. The hospital and medicine is such a gift. Not all women just âhave bodies that do what they need toâ.
I felt the same way after my first baby. Csection after laboring for 2 days. She ended up breech. I still mourn the birth we didnt have and shes 4 now. Of course she got to my safely and healthy but it stills hard that I didnt get to deliver her vaginally. â€
Really appreciated hearing your story. I also got "forced" into a c-section. But my labour was a lot shorter than yours (15 hours) The meconium scared me (i experienced that too) it was my first time hearing about it and even to this day, I dont know enough. I do wish that I asked more questions. I did opt for csections for my other two though. As I knew what to expect and at this point, the idea of vaginal birth scared me more. If i had a vaginal birth with my first, I'm certain I would have never considered a csection for my others. I feel kind of robbed and I really dont know how necessary that first csection was. Seemed so early into labour to decide "things arent progressing fast enough". Anyway, thanks for the video. Some things seemed to be out of your control..others, maybe not..its a learning opportunity for your other children (God willing) Wish you all the best!
<333 I am so glad you are both SAFE. I can relate very much!
Gods timing and Godâs will is perfect. Sometimes we are set in our plans but God will turn it around, humbling us and reminding us that his ways and will are perfect. This experience was intense for you and grieving the birth you longed for is normal. But thank Jesus that your son is okay. I hope even though this was really hard, you were able to gain spiritual growth and wisdom through it. Thank you for sharing!
Glyphosphates?
I think chances are that because of the meconium being present and i think you said you had a temperature as well, that his heart rate increased because of infection rather than the pitocin or epidural, his HR would have increased without those interventions. so, being a nurse in this field, it does sound to me like it was a medically necessary cesarean. And im super pro-unmedicated hime births with midwives too. to me, you did everything right so I hope youve been able to process your experience and come to terms with it. It is a great story to tell to help others understand that regardless of your ideal birth, there will probably always be unexpected events you have to flow with.
Mama, i have changed into a new person with each of my 5 births. I am still myself, but myself is different now. And honestly, i had my 5th 20 months ago and we are still trying to find our rythm as a family again. His arrival really rocked the heck out of all of us.
Amanda, you are such a strong woman to come out and say the things you've said here. I haven't even started reading comments because I worry about people being rude or arrogant or know-it-alls. I want you to know that I had a vbac - at home - everything went great and got the dream birth I longed soooo much for. As a mother of 5 married kids and gma to 16, I've been a part of a lot of births, and the ones without any intervention are always the least risky. Always do whats best for you and your family, but you can have the birth you want, and I believe one day you absolutely will.
I wanted to go natural, but I also knew I wanted to do it at a hospital. I also labored for 4 days before my baby girl decided to come. By the 3rd day, when they offered epidural, I took it without hesitation and I am so glad I did. About a day later, I pushed my baby out vaginally within 10 minutes. I prayed for a pain-free birth, but did not experience that. Iâm just grateful that she was healthy and that I pushed her out quickly and without any tearing. The recovery was quick as well. My epidural did not lead to them inquiring for Pitocin. In fact, she was born at 36 weeks so they were trying to keep her in me for another week at least. Pitocin was not an intervention deemed necessary for my case because of the situation I was in. I think the reason they pushed pitocin on you was because it was medically necessary. Iâm sharing my story so that you can see that medical interventions doesnât always lead to c-sections. Iâm pregnant again with my second and Iâm opting for a home birth this time around, but Iâm also totally fine with doing whatever is best for my baby. †God bless you sis. (Also I had like 12 ultrasounds done because I was considered high risks. The radiation, thankfully, did not affect my baby)
Thanks for sharing! I think if I would've had the epidural only, things may have gone different. It was after the pitocin that my body was shaking, then fever, then antibitoics and so on. The interventions don't always lead to sections but it is so common. I think our C section rate in America is 32%. It is 1 in 3 births which is insane.
It must have been so hard to go through labor for so long, only for it to end the way you didn't want. My first was a C-Section because she was breech, and I just didn't feel comfortable attempting a breech vaginal birth. I had a natural VBAC with my second, and it was really special. Wishing you the best. Hopefully, you can have a very peaceful VBAC with your next baby!
Iâve had an emergency c section with my first child because I went in to labour spontaneously at 28 weeks I went 10 cm dilation not knowing i was in labour because I was only 28 weeks. Had an emergency c section of course because baby was too young to head down. Baby stayed in the NICU for 2 months now heâs 5 years old đ. With my second child I chose to be a VBAC I educated my self but because of my first one I had to be monitored, I went in to labour at home dilated at 5 cm then went to the hospital hooked up in to the monitor I was in my back all the time until I pushed the baby out it was so intense. Had a second degree tear omg I had the hardest and longest time to recover. I believe if I wasnât laying in my back I didnât have a second degree tear. But i was so happy being a vbac and i loved it . But Iâm also so thankful for any medical intervention.
Thank you for sharing your story. I had some similarities with the birth of my first and struggled with how what I wanted didnât go as planned. But the most important thing is that our babies are healthy and it all ended up working out â€
I thought she had family in TN.
I do. My parents are 4 hours from me, so still not close. TN is a big state...
VBaC momma here and hereâs what Iâve learned: a mom is a mom is a mom †you are a warrior and I pray your next birth experience is the VBaC you desire â€
Epidural + pitocin = higher risk of c-section. So I completely understand why you are feeling the way you are. I was lucky to not end in a c-section. But they threatened it. They gave me pitocin in my IV without consent. I only consented to fluids for hydration. And i am livid to this day that it happened. I wished that I had my husband speak up more for me. I remember looking at him and he didnt speak up for me. And thats so hard to get over. You need more support.
Mama, next labor you do NOT need to drink the castor oil, you can massage it into your tummy. Castor oil is deeply absorbed by the body, but because of its thickness, it is messy, so put an old towel you dont care about over it. Instead, drink very strong red raspberry leaf, stinging nettles and oatstraw tea. Let it sit for at least an hour steeping. Not only will it strengthen your labor, but it will also reduce your chances of severe bleeding. (You can also drink it throughout your pregnancy, i start with mine at about 12 weeks, but i have to keep my uterus strong because i have had 4 previous c sections, and vbac is hard on a uterus that has been cut open that many times) Also look into vitamin c babies, and megadose vitamin c during pregnancy, you can thank me later đ«¶đ«¶đ«¶
Love this. Take your time mums â€
The chills I have listening to your story once you get to the birthing center. I did not want to have a natural home birth. I planned to go to the hospital to have my baby. But I did not want an epidural so soon, I did not want pitocin. But in the moment I agreed. Nobody spoke up for me when I couldnât. My son had meconium. His heart rate spiked. They gave me antibiotics. Which I reacted to. Ending in c section. For my daughter, my second. I had drs on board for a vbac. I ultimately decided a week before her due date to schedule her c section. I do not regret that. Totally different and better experience than my sonâs birth. Not traumatic. Not a failure. I got to choose. And it was a perfect experience. Thank you for sharing your story.
I have 3 kids, but I had my first baby at 21. I was naive and ignorant and had absolutely no idea about procedure at hospitals or anything about birth in general. I was induced at 40w 5d and it was instant pitocin, epidural (which I did want), cervical checks, etc. I was only in labor for 21 hours before having my daughter but about 20 minutes before giving birth, my âdoctorâ got close to my face, looked me in my eyes, and said âyouâre not going to make it to 10cmâ. I was literally dilated to 9cm when she told me this. She told me I needed an emergency c section because of my daughterâs heart rate dropping and my heart rate spiking because I was terrified. I had 2 nurses, who I will never forget, because they were my angels, pray with me and whisper to me that I was doing great and I did not need a c section. 20 minutes later I had my daughter. No issues with her birth at all. I was on Medicaid at the time and call me crazy but I think they just saw dollar signs and were impatient because it had been almost 24 hours. Sheâs 10 now and Iâm still traumatized from that labor. My second and third births healed me from a lot of that because even though I still opted for epidurals, they were so peaceful and I had a different doctor who was amazing.
Iâm so happy you had those nurses! They definitely saw the $. Those nurses were angels!
I think the castor oil made baby poop. The same thing happened with me.
When I had my baby, my labor started and then all of a sudden stopped a few hours in. I was 39.5 weeks. They only let me wait 12 hours to see if my body started contracting again. It never did, so I had pitocin, epidural, etc. no c section. But I bore the mourning of my ideal birth not happening. I asked God âwhere are you?â The entire time. This was two years ago and I just recently started to see where He was. Medical intervention was a blessing to me and it is something I should be joyful about. It yielded a healthy me and healthy baby. For that I can rejoice.
I had a similar experience.. and to this day it is still hard to talk about. Thank you for sharing, youâre so strong and inspirational. â€
Iâm sorry to hear of that but praise the Lord youâve found healing and grace in it. I had two unplanned csections that were both incredibly traumatic. Absolutely not what I wanted, nothing was. I wanted no medical intervention, I didnât want to vaccinate my kids, I wanted to cloth diaper and I researched all the baby products and their ingredients. So when it came time for csection it just wasnât fair to me and ya, very traumatic and then developed PPD. They are now 5 and 7 and doing well. Iâm over it, I guess, though still wish it had gone differently. Thank you for sharing. God bless. â„ïž
Thank you for sharing đ I labored for days for my second birth. Turns out he was face up, and had shoulder dystocia. They didnât realize it until he was too far out to go back in for an emergency c-section. I will never forget the complete calm my doctor had, telling me he was sorry, them handing him scissors for an episiotomy, the rush of nurses in who would attend my baby, the doctor pulled him out. I had 3rd & 4th degree tearing on both ends of the cut, and a broken tailbone. The most traumatic experience of my life. My baby was ok but I grieved the experience. I did recently have a very redemptive birth with my daughter đ 4.5 hr labor, she birthed herself.
