    UE 5.4.4 This still does not work. Did everything and have no inputs at all. :( EDIT: You have to include the Enhanced Input Context in the Project settings. Just add all your Enhanced Input Contexts files in the list and it should be ok

      I'm not sure about replicating the actual hands but you could spawn apare of empty hands based on the number of players that only the client can see and use the hand data to up date those.

      i have a video coming out in a couple hours showing how to setup uip teleportation if thats what you are refering too. If not, just walk around your room and you will have full locomotion.

      @@GDXR my apologies, I’m not fully versed in this kind of terminology. There are two ways to move in VR space, teleportation and locomotion, as far as I understand it. Walking around a real environment is another things by itself. VR is getting better by the hour, but finding a way to use your hands and have the character walk around (as if you were using a joystick), in a natural way, eludes me. Using gestures is a solution, not pretty, but that’s the only thing I can think of. Imagine you are the head developer of VR Cyberpunk 3069, and you have the task to find a solution. That’s what I’m trying to tackle at the moment. Teleportation is just horrendous in terms of immersion, and since you are not using controllers, it defeats the purpose and break the little realism you get by use it, would you agree?

      So, at the end of last week, we had an issue come up between myself and another youtuber. Unfortunately, after explaining to the community through Patreon, CZcams member and Discord posts. A couple of people thought it was appropriate to Harras the other youtuber. After me and the other guy had a good chat and discussion about the issue they told me what was happening, so this video is in response. And acted as a speedy way to make it stop.

    Quick question, please. When using a MetaHuman with hair strands (LOD 0 or 1), Unreal crashes in VR preview mode. Have you encountered this issue too? Do you know how to fix it? Thank you, and have a nice day. 😊

      Meta Human arnt designed for VR in mind if you wish to use them, you will need to use a much higher LOD. It's also possible the hairstreak system isn't supported on it but that's a guess without seeing a crash log.

You can download the files GDXR UVRT lite from there containing all the smooth locomotion code for 5.3 and 5.4 while also having access to a bunch of interactables. If you'd like help debugging the project, you made yourself. Feel free to drop by the discord. To start, I'd check you Input actions are firing correctly and go from there.

      Hey, yeah so spawning actors will have a hitch because the projectile needs to be loaded inot memory. The only way to avoid the hitch is to either spawn the actor when the game begins so its already in memory or use PSO caching to load them in although this is complicated (But correct) aproach to stop it.

    Hi , I have been trying to set this up following the steps but when I run the vr preview there is crazy lag with the passthrough and often just crashes. PC specs are ryzen97950x RTX 6000 and 128GB Ram so im sure it cant be that. Any help would be appreciated as Im just not sure whats causing it.

      Is there any chance you have steam vr running and meta link. also do you ahve them set to openXR (Also passthrough) should only be used for mobile aps and tested on an APK to get past the streaming to the pc issue the camera feed has.

      Unfortunatly not. It's mainly standalone however it has been designed with Multiplayer in mind so the player uses a character controller and has hmd and motion controller replication built in. However you would need to setup it up your self to be suitable for your desired platform.

      without seeing screen shots it's difficult to know. The main reason controllers dont track are the enhanced input descriptions are duplicated. its also possible the hands arnt attached to the correct components.

      Unfortunatly i dont know. I dont belive there is a way to track other people but if you setup multiplayer it maybe possible to replicate the desired content.

    Great video! However, a bug: if you have 2 actors simultaneously hovered - one via the left controller and one via the right, if you click the action button on either controller, it affects both of the hovered actors instead of just the actor hovered by the controller with the button press. How to fix?

    Thanks for such a great video-it gave me a lot of inspiration and ideas. I have a question: maybe you've encountered something similar. Everything works perfectly in the editor (teleportation, collisions), but when I package it and install it on Quest 3, the collisions don't work, and the teleportation kind of works. I can move, but the blue circle only appears inside the boundary. I mean, I can't see the trail, just the circle on the floor in front of me, and when I click, it moves (it looks like it's blocking and can't go outside the boundary). But with the collision, I have no idea what's going on-even the collision of the hand disappears. I hope this makes sense, and thanks for any help

      I found out what the problem with the collision is. In the build the naming of the socket names is different (doesn't make sense at all, but yeah). So you need to change it to "index_3" then it should work again. Also the index sockets are the only ones that start with a lowercase character so generally a very inconsistent naming. Extra tip: There is a socket named "Index_Tip" especially for placing stuff at the finger tips :) I hope that helps!

    I come from the future 2 tips. If you arent seen the labels on flow, make sure to have MRUK if you are in v65. If you are seen black, make sure you have right the Android SDK

      Try removing the spring arm and attach the camera to the player character although it will give you crazy motion sickness.

      That's because you can't build a good one quickly. It has taken me around 2 years to build the GDXR UVRT template as it is, and that's just the groundwork. Building a game as a series would not be efficient.
