I always tell ppl to be very careful of how they judge a citing President based on this that are going on, some time you have to look at someone heart and dedication for this country to know why what he is for....Lincoln at this moment of speech he was very unpopular due to the war, and he sure saved this country we so dearly love...He knew at some point slavery will have to end, and like he always sooner rather than later we out to understand that and take it serious...He wanted a country free for all...He was a well thoughtful men and a man who loved this country, he willingness to be unpopular even to his Republic party for the love of the country...wish he had more men like this to call leaders...God help us...

I was a young boy about 5 or 6 and my dad who was about 21 would lay me in front of the tv to watch this show. I’m now 45 and my father is an old man. Where did the time go?

Mein Vater war auf der Prinz Eugen, soviel ich weiß als Feuerwerker. Vor ein paar Jahren habe ich ihn auch auf der Besatzungsliste noch gefunden. Jetzt steht er da nicht mehr. Schade. Er kam um 1940 herum in russische Kriegsgefangenschaft. Leider finde ich das genau Jahr nicht mehr heraus. Es waren auf jeden Fall 10 Jahre Gefangenschaft.

I lived in Germany for many years, no one knew of the ''Tirpitz'' not even her stepfather who had been a SS officer, now I find this to be very strange. The Bismarck was not scuttled, she was shot to pieces. And there were no soldiers onboard the Bismarck, they were sailors and Navy Officers.

Einer meiner ersten Bauleiter Heinz Pepper aus Aken an der Elbe ist auf dem prinzen gefahren und hat das ganze Drama miterlebt! 1984 war ich als Lehrling bei ihm und habe gespannt seinen Erzählungen gelauscht! Er ist schon lange tot!,aber wie sagt man tot ist jemand erst wenn sich niemand an einen erinnert! Ruhe in Frieden Heinz.

On Dec 24, 1940 Hipper, all alone, ran in to a British Troop convoy escorted by 2 old carriers, 3 cruisers and 6 destroyers, Hipper scored hits on 2 troop ships and the heavy cruiser Berwick that was knocked out and had to spend 6 months in dry dock ! Non of the British ships scored a single hit on the German cruiser. The day after that she sank a merchant ship, and several more the year after.

Es scheint so als hätte die Prinz Eugen erst keine Flak auf dem Vorschiff, dann einen Flakvierling auf oberem Turm & Vordeck, und dann eine Einzelflak auf dem oberen Turm & vier Einzelflak auf dem Vordeck. Die vorderen beiden versetzt. So jedenfalls laut einigen Modellbauern. Stimmt das so? Denn auf den Bildern kann man das kaum erkennen
