Great gig it was, good to meet Douglas in person after the gig🏴🏴😎
Wasn't this the DJMREX project?
Blessed basement!
Samuel Z. Arkoff (AIP) is one of my fave movie moguls after Darryl Zanuck (20th Century Fox) and Ted Ashley (Warner Bros.)
Awesome, love this stuff
I love the CRJ, I fly it’s on MSFS often.
Cool video! Hi, the "NM G2 DEMO Software" has a very annoying semi tone stepping of the Pitch Bend over MIDI. I'm wondering if the hardware G2 has this too. The original Nord Modular (G1) is very smooth. Thank you!
I have no hardware sorry
Legends!!
Average Joe like me unfortunately rate the pilot on just landing. When in fact, the whole duration of the flight be it one or 15 hours, the pilot is shitting in pants ready in anything goes wrong. Kudos to you pilots, thanks for keeping us safe.
STATIC uses the point of mouse release as the reference for the static line. The same is true for STATIC function in the TEF > ORDER Menu. It’s more clear in the ORDER menu because of the highlighted point in the matrix.
Dad was a 106 pilot after Vietnam, flew them until they decommissioned. Was squadron commander of the 49th FIS in Rome when they went to William tell. If the base had 106’s we went there, Malmstrom, mcchord, incirlik turkey, ki sawyer, griffiss, Dover, and more bases before I was born.
Great interview !!!
John, thanks for this terrific series of highly informative videos. I’m really grateful you took the time to make them.
Thanks a lot for this detailed overview of Auioterm !!!
i was a mb1 mechanic in the 539th from 61 to 65. i miss those days the 6 was a very great aircraft.
I just love that very powerful sound!
The Queen of the Fleet and definitely the best-sounding airliner in history. Thanks for sharing!
Nice view and great sound.

what does clicking load under sf2 exp do is that like loading a patch? or is it different
Basically its wavetable synthesis. You just load any waveform for usin as an oscillator
awesome
Looks like the last flight for a retiring pilot.
How do you assign controllers to the NM G2? Every time you load a patch, do you click on assign midi and then bind the Blue Cat? When you change the patch, all Midi assignment settings are lost and you have to switch midi assignment back on or am I missing something? For example, you have selected the patch for the first midi channel and you have to manually adjust each knob, am I right? Thank you
In Blue Cat, I make a patch whereas I label the knobs the way I want, and tell the knobs which CC# to send on, over to the G2 editor. Then, it works for a given G2 "patch" (horrible terminology - they did at Nord). Like, for example I put a lot of effort into trying to simulate the Waldorf Pulse in G2. I have a single Blue Cat "patch" which is setup to control the various adjustments in my Waldorf Pulse simulation G2 "patch". Now i have a sort of cool working Waldorf Pulse simulation. You have to make a new Blue Cat patch, to control a new NMG2 file. If I haven't answered the Q please keep asking LOL. Also, I have dumped a bit of this info from short term memory. But I can re-access as needed. //// The whole reason for doing this is 1) to get my AKAI hardware controller to talk to G2 editor, and 2) give my DAW absolute control including automation, over G2 editor.
@@John_Thompson Thank you I tried to make it in Logic, but I couldn't. I have an NM Engine G2.
On this particular day Runway 4-22 was likely closed for construction as it’s clear they are arriving and departing Runway 31. And this video is 6 years old and that’s right around the time 4-22 was being rehabbed.
I love this song 😊
Use to live in Playa Vista right next to Hugh's Aircraft Co. where my father worked. Use to see the b-57 take off every day, then the f-101, which was awsome, followed by the super awsome f-106, while I was hunting lizards by hand, " not with a bb gun or sling shot" Blue bellies and sand lizards but not alligator lizards which got quite large, by the R×R trex that bordered the airfield along Jeferson blvd. Never will forget those days!
On this Episode of Animal Planet, we visit a special creature 😅

Hey kiddies, it's an F-106B as in boy! You can see the back seat and elongated canopy in one of the slow passes. Very cool! Only a few of those were built.
Wish they had good cameras back then
Anyone remember Mr. Bones?
Is where the batwing groundsmaster got its idea from?🤣

Awesome
Love the 106
I’ve got right at 2000 hours in this air frame. These guys did one hell of a job! Thanks for posting.
A fine tribute to Jack McDougall. It would be nice to know if there is a back story for the transition from the "Six" to the F-16 (and back).
Is there a repository for nord modular patches out there?
Why would anyone post such an identifiable video on a public account? You do know that the faa routinely sanctions pilots for giving them proof like this, yes?
Glad i saw him LIVE!
"The Professor" RIP
Dr. Moog playing on stage with Keith Emerson… wearing his pocket protector 😂 You can lead a geek on stage with Emerson, but you can’t make him remove his pocket protector!!
I think I found the bottom of the internet I looked up Robert Connelly he made an obscure prog rock album and here I find something to do with Keith Emerson the Bob Connelly wouldn’t happen to be the one that made plateau would it.
My favourite arcade game ever. Kinda hard to replicate the cabinet controls though.
Hello! What PC is this?
This is a vibe
Very nice! Any problems using the G2 editor in Studio One?
Or is that a CSound vst?
@@John_Thompson thanks for the replies, John.
I just got one of these at the recycling center today!
