Tune always made me feel the same and always will . Seeing Earnest and Jan-Michael at the end kinda makes me feel maybe they are up there having fun in the ole Wolf watching over us.

I can catagorily say I grew up on this n kit and A team also my chopper bike was street hawk 😂 n no one could catch me 😊 loved the 80 s n 90s 🎉

Best dam show on television back then period. Loved Jan Micheal Vincent and Ernest. Airwolf was the coolest show going in the 80s.

As a military helo pilot you gotta appreciate the skillful flying that was done for this series….no cgi back then folks.

Too bad they never thought of making Airwolf/Knight Rider crossover episode. Those 2 together would absolutely kick ass.

Probably the most iconic and legendary cinematic chopper there is, together with Blue Thunder!

Did you know that when the show was basically recast for a terrible low budget 4th and final season. They no longer had the Airwolf helicopter so all exterior scenes with Airwolf were reused from prior seasons.

Did you know that while the show did have some excellent stints performed by pilots that many aerial battles were actually RC model planes and helicopters.

I found out recently that all of the interior shots of the Airwolf helicopter were filmed using a prop on a sound stage. Unlike Knight Rider which filmed the interior of a real car outfitted with futuristic looking props..the interior of Airwolf as seen on the show never existed. :(

So… does anyone else understand that helicopter rotors can’t exceed the speed of sound? The advancing tip of air wolf blades would be having a problem at 300kts that’s 540 kmh or about 0.5 Mach. Yep that advancing blade is having problems with the sound barrier. Oh know what about retreating blade tip stall and retreating blade loss of lift? Oops that chopper isn’t producing any lift with its rotor at its higher speeds. Oh and that’s not a lifting body helicopter as it curves off to the sides too fast so no air is forced over the top and the thing will need to fly with an angle of attack. Helicopter blade lift, the RULES. 1 no part of a blade can exceed the speed of sound. 2 the entire blade must always be driven into the air to produce lift. 3 the air can’t flow backwards over the blade. 4 the blade requires angle of attack to produce lift. 5 if the blade goes too slow or the AoA is too steep the blade stalls and is fatal. So Mach 1 is 1100 kmh or there abouts and air wolf does half of that and that’s oh so bad and a no no as it causes breaks in rules 1 2 3 5. How? 3 and 5 to start. If you’re going 0.5 Mach and the rotors are spinning making lift and thus thrust then the blade that’s retreating as in going from the front of the helicopter and around to the back has to be going faster than the helicopter airspeed. If not then the blade will in fact have the air flowing backwards over it. So stalled out and no airspeed and no lift. No lift on the retreating side means the lift is only on the advancing side and the helicopter flips over = death. So you speed the blades up? Yeah now the advancing blade that was already doing half the speed of sound rotationally plus another half in forwards airspeed = Mach 1 advancing blades = disruption of lift and shockwaves destroying blades= no lift = death. Slow the advancing blades up means the retreating blades are now having the air going backwards over them. You see the problem? It’s just all so much bullshit. All I see is a shitty single engine jet ranger looking thing. Even the Huey from Vietnam was single engine. I’ve seen many times a twin engine Huey and it’s called a Bell 412 and it’s a huge beast and bigger than the single engine beast.

I was 12 or 13 when this came out and love the series. I remember to record the them song I held up a tape recorder to the TV when it came on, recorded the intro then proudly rode my bike to school and played the cassette tape at school where people did hear the theme song and my friends loved it. I was in 5th or 6th grade at the time. I remember watching shows like Dukes of Hazzard, knight Rider, Manimal, fall guy, the $6 million man great early 80s TV shows. Tron when it came out 1981 was the most amazing movie I’ve ever seen in my life. Wonderful memories

This show could not be made today. Between the aerobatics, the stunts, and the cost of fuel, it just could not be done. Loved this show as a kid, and still get chills when I hear the theme music!

I'm 45 and a Nissan/Infiniti technician and we play this in the shop along with nightrider. I still jump up and down like a kid when I hear it and your cars are fixed much faster and better 💪and when I test drive your car after the repairs! O boy your car turns to Airwolf 😂

A fantastic tribute to the series and of course the fantastic helicopter. I think this Bell 222 is the most beautiful helicopter ever. As a 59 year old I can enjoy it again.
