I thought the gazpacho over a large ice cube looked fabulous. If you ever have a disappointingly mushy watermelon, using that in place of all or some of the tomatoes makes an interesting twist. I also add lime juice and cilantro too. I never get tired of that garden. It always changing so like visiting for the first time eh? I think spring when it is all lavender and blue is my favorite, but dahlias are wonderful too. you are blessed to have that in your city. My home town is known for roses (Santa Rosa) and the horticultural genius Luther Burbank, but I prefer mixed gardens like you show over a garden of only roses.

It's so hot here in Santa Rosa! I've been looking for easy meals with no heat and these smorrebrod really hit the spot. I liked the mushroom cerviche on best. I added some hearts of palm as well, to stretch the recipe. From one foodie to another, have you tried Bibim Guksu? Cold korean spicy noodles. Easy to make vegan, gluten free. Add a 15 ounce can of diced tomatoes to a large bowl. Add 4 tablespoons each vegan gochujang and rice vinegar (unseasoned or seasoned will both work), 2 tablespoons each: low sodium tamari, honey or agave syrup, brown sugar, toasted sesame oil. Use an immersion blender to puree this all smooth. Refrigerate till needed. Meanwhile cook 100 buckwheat soba noodles and drain with cold water. Chill till needed. Assemble bowl: to a serving of chilled noodles, ladle over some spicy tomato broth. Garnish with chilled batons of cucumber, and daikon radish, chopped kimchi, asian pear (not necessary), chilled cubed silken tofu, purple cabbage, sprouts (whatever!). Garnish with sesame seeds and nori. Makes 2-4 servings depending on your appetite. Its sooo good when its hot (especially when I remember to cook the noodles in the morning and chill for dinner). Darn, I have Covid, and isolating in my bedroom watching cooking videos. Of course, I needed to revisit one of your lovely videos for comfort and beautiful inspiration. I am most definitely making mushroom tacos tonight, although sadly no peaches. I do have some hearts of palm though so maybe a salsa out of that? I miss your calm and grounding presence here on YT and hope you and Rob are enjoying a wonderful summer. P.S. your "bow" to the taco when you take a bit is adorable, but don't be afraid to really tuck into your meal. Tacos just demand it. Signed, a NorCal vegan taco lover.

Greasy Spoon is a great pleace for breaksfast or brunch! I had the fully vegan breakfast and my wife enjoyed some pancakes. We are planning to go there again on our next visit. I am looking for a good vegan cafe or bakery that would have traditional things like cinnamon buns etc. Any tips for that?

I made this for tonights midsummer dinner! I only had a german rye pumpernickel bread (very dense) but it made a good base layer. The art direction of this video is off the charts good. I so miss your regular videos but come back here often when looking for cooking inspiration. I hope you and Rob are enjoying summer and getting to travel. Making this for dinner. I usually add essential wheat gluten to the meatball mix because it give is a juicy, chewy, elastic texture that really mimicks minced meat. A real game changer.
