"Ape Object" was started in 2019 by sculptor Lee Jung-hyun in Seoul, Korea.
Based on traditional sculpting methods, he produces jewelry and objects for personal possession and appreciation.

All the Artworks of "Ape Object" carved according to the traditional method of sculpture.
Dots and lines made during the sculpting process become numerous cross-sections and eventually form a single shape.
Sensation and experience of the fingertip are tools to make this happen.
This process reflects the artist’s individuality and aesthetic consciousness.
All creations are cast using the ‘Lost-Wax’ technique and finished in the hands of ”Ape Object”.

Sculpting SkullTula | Clay to Pottery and Wax Carving
This is the process of sculpting Skulltula that appears in the game ‘The Legend of Zelda’. The skull is made of clay and finished in ceramic. The spider's legs were made using wax-carving.

Your skill and craftsman and just artistry is really impressive! I am a fellow artist who is just learning wax carving, really for the first time. I have been making jewelry for a while, but I am new to wax carving. It is really challenging and different from anything else i've ever done. I am nowhere near at your level. Of course, but I am getting better really fast. And it's kind of scaring me, actually. The reason is that I can see people asking me for custom work constantly. And I have had that happen already, But it's really hard to deal with. For me, I have always found that it never pays well enough and takes me away from my primary goals. It's going to get really bad, i can tell. I know that people probably ask you, even beg you, to do custom work for them. How do you deal with this?
