So far I am loving it, mastering the perfect dodge is a bit tricky. You have to learn moveset of each bosses and the timing. Some stab attacks are really hard to perfect dodge. I find it a mix between Sekiro and God of War rather than a pure souls like. Although I would have liked more moves at my disposal for varied combo. But you still can get much variety with three stances at your disposal. As far as combo flashiness is concerned you have: 5 Hit light combo Light (Combo) to heavy finisher (different for each of the three stances) Heavy release (Different for each of the three stances) Counter - Resolute Strike (attacking with a heavy release right as you getting attack) Rock Counter - One of the Runics/Skills (you become a rock, if you time it then you can parry with it) transformation assist - L2 + R2 Aerial Step Staff deflect (can deflect projectile and can also be used as a regular damaging move) and transformation - where he becomes one of his enemies who he defeated for a short period of time having their moveset So all in all cool from a flashiness prespective. But I do think it needs more moves but its way better than souls games and not neccessarily fall into that category although it takes some element from Souls. I like the resource management as well like Stamina, Focus and Magic. All in all a good solid game for me, visual are good, story is interesting and combat is fun once you get the hang of it. But getting the hang of Stamina management (very tricky at first) and perfect dodges as well as learning the boss moves is the bread and butter of defense. Once you get that you get the combat. Then you can start going creative with the offense.

That means a lot and I appreciate it! And what you said is my rationale behind doing such combos. Often times I notice that some "crazy" dante combo often end up looking like a visual mess with too many red swords, DT particle effects covering up the animations add to that faster combo in a turbo mode makes the combo look fast but lacks "structure". I want my combos to have structure and choreography while also being able to see every weapon attack. While at the same time balancing both slow and fast paced moves to create something beautiful.

@@ComboSpartan It is beautiful and I couldn't have put it better myself, structure and choreography is what makes this game and a lot of other hack and slash games look their best during gameplay. So many animations are skipped in the name of doing the "crazy" combos that leaves me unsatisfied, hoping you'll make more of these in the future. True, I realized after I put it on. I have switched the speech language back to Chinese, sounds much better and authentic.

Yeah main story is too much story. And it takes a lot of time to upgrade stuff so that you are playing with every tool on your disposal. However Valhalla is definitely worth it and is quite the challenge. But its not designed for style but rather that of survival. However some hoardeds are juggle types so you might have fun comboing. But some enemy hoardes are tedious to kill types with lots of health and won't be able to combo them. All in all good place to hone your combos and reflex with lots of replay value.

You are gonna see me upload short combat clips. But a stylish playthrough of this game with no checkpoint restart is kind of demanding. Considering the game is 50 hours long which means it will take me 500 hours to finish the game or more (as I play and replay each fight 10 times minimum to clean the encounter). So currently will only stick to some cool fights here and there for this game.

Personal preference but I Love GOW3 the most followed by Ascension and GOW1 for the fun factor in the combos

Ascension introduced a lot of unique and new things which wasn't done in GOW franchise before. It introduced a new grapple mechanic which was cool as heck as well world weapon system and most importantly hand to hand combat. Back in the day it got me freaking out when I saw in the gameplay trailer that Kratos could throw hands. That was unreal, also I kind of enjoyed harder enemy hoardes which demanded a pristine crowd control and understanding of mechanics and mastery of parry.

Its highly unlikely but nonetheless it would be great if it were to happen. Although I still kind of like the visuals and its accessible via PC.

You will get used to it, Valhallas difficulty come from unfamiliarity of enemy types and lack of checkpoint system. But once you get used to the level and maps. It won't be that bad

Juggling these guys is always hilarious, its always fun watching a 250 pound guy just stuck and stunlocked mid air.

Based on the leaks I have seen, it seemed to me that it was more of a Spiderman/Arkham Style with some blood and gore laced on to it. If the combo variety and move list is as fleshed out in God of War that will be great, but I am keeping my hopes low from what I have seen.

I have played this game a lot of times as kid. NGL at first I rarely was able to capitalize on environmental kills but now I am quite used to it. the best way is to line up your enemy with the spike or enironmental danger when you throw or punch them. The game is pretty lenient while directing them towards the death trap. You just have to get them to fly in that direction with so-so accuracy and the game will take care of the rest.

I love doing the wolverine roar. The game's special attack are so good and have lot of combo utility. I really love it!

I will defenitely continue this series. Currently just taking a break from youtube. But I will definitely get back to it. I do play to continue both GOW1 and GOW2 playthrough. As well as making my way through Chains of Olympus and God of War 2018 combo focused playthroughs and many more.
