Eton is a town in Berkshire, England, on the opposite bank of the River Thames to Windsor, connected to it by Windsor Bridge. Did you used to live there?
Yes, I'm a Boltonian and lots is happening in the town centre. As High Street shopping trends have changed the town centre is moving in the direction of accommodation and entertainment and leisure. The whole shopping mall, Crompton Place facing the town hall including all the shops on Victoria Square facing the town hall is going to be demolished. The Market Place shopping centre was Bolton Market Hall and the council along with others made a huge mistake some years ago by changing it. After years of stagnation things are definitely on the up. 😊.
Do you know what’s going in place of the shopping mall? More apartments? Good to hear that things are looking up. Makes a change from most towns which seem to be on the down recently

I lived in Reading as a child, and come on the train most weeks. There is always something going on and somewhere to wander, Forbury garden's and the Abbey ruins on a nice day is relaxing away from the hustle and bustle of shopping .riverside is lovely too.❤

I have visited different parts of England mainly in the South and have not heard much positive things from Oldham. I have been there many times visiting in laws around Greater Manchester area and in Oldham. I’m from Helsinki Finland and I personally don’t think this look as bad as people say it does.
Oh nice, I’ve visited Finland once when I was a teenager. It’s on my list to visit again soon. Oldham isn’t all bad, I’ve definitely seen worse towns in to UK

The council have absolutely ruined Newcastle under lyme and the people are such nice people they deserve better than this. A barber shop on very corner there even one down London Road the old hovis shop it's called money laundering and people trafficking 7:32

How far is it to Reading from London by train?
With the new Elizabeth Line it’s just under an hour.

Yeah it’s my original home town. Definitely more shops closed down recently. The Oracle has lots less than it originally did!
Grew up in wythenshawe, Civic Centre the place you walked through used to be bustling with lots of decent shops and an outside market for cheap clothes and shoes ect. The Butchers in the indoor market was the best for cheap cuts of meat. Now it seems theyve taken the heart out of the place. i left years ago its not what it used to be.

The old market was better, they knock it down and build crap. They're also knocking down shops near asda that were fine.

It is classed as Greater Manchester. Yeah, they seem to be trying to do a lot to revamp the area. It was recently voted one of the best places to live!
@@scenicrouteyt Yeah…I’ve seen a lot worse, still needs some stuff sorting though…. Stockport is in Cheshire not Lancashire the ‘Greater Manchester’ thing only applies to North West emergency services (for instance the GMP service Wigan)
