    the sad thing is: bgs fangirls ride on this fantasy that the members they adore are not sexist, when the truth, statisticly speaking, is that they probably are. also, bg fanservice is so strong and intense (MUCH more than ggs) that creating this parasocial relationship with fans actually benefits them when it comes to situations like these.

    From the perspective of someone who doesn't like the concept of Le sserafim, I can cite how pretentious their whole faux female power thing sounds to me, it's a lot of talk without being backed up, kinda like movies when they're just a bunch of dialogues that overexplain, a classic show don't tell, well, even to me it came as a surprise that they couldn't sing, after villainizing a 16 year old to generate victim points for the rest of the group and tug on people's heart strings, they dare to deliver such a subpar frankly shocking performance, and instead of shutting up and improving in the studio, Sakura comes out and says, they did their best, your best worth thousands of dollars in tickets is a drunk karaoke night, I understand the hate, don't fully justify it, but it's a harsh wake up call to the girls that they need to get it together and vocally train, and for other idols as a cautionary tale, I am tired of Mediocrity being covered by pretty privilege. On that note, every group should have a standout member and one struggling member who tries to catch up, it's a treat seeing them improve and gain confidence, although the hate can really damage a person, but some idols have took it on the chin and did their best, which shows.

    Regarding Starbucks, 1. It isn't even on the official BDS movement's list of companies to boycott 2. It hasn't had stores in Isr*el for 20 years. They only had about six stores which lasted from 2001 to 2003 3. Howard Schultz, who invests in apartheid cybersecurity, is technically no longer affiliated with Starbucks as he stepped down form his CEO position With these in mind, I would say Starbucks should be a lesser worry for the concerned consumers who should instead target other companies way more consistently, especially when taking into consideration how easy it is to find alternatives for it 🤗

    2 months in hate train is still ongoing but at least the de@th threats and sexu@l @ssult has reduced because of company suing but my2 cents remain, they can’t sing to save their lives amazing performers though, I always wondered why yunjin always sounds worse than chaewon live but is considered the best singer of the group, they went from fearless concept to trending concept, I wish them luck though

    I'm not really a 'k pop' fan (the whole industry gives me the ick) but I've loved LE SSERAFIM from their first EP. They're the only idol group I listen to and I'm not really clued up on any controversy.... I've literally never heard of any plagiarism drama. But a few days ago I started to get recommended about them being problematic and bad vocalists and I'm shocked!! I thought everyone loved Yunjin in particular???

You are absolutely divorced from reality if you don't think they would rape you and torture you just as they did to Israeli women.

    19:35 same goes for illits yunah. instead of casting her into a group whose concept fits her, they instead try to shape her into a cutesy type. in my opinion hype should take the blame for most of the constructive critiques that were given. as for the uncalled for hate, I condemn that.

    i think kpop fans always need something to hate on, it's rarely criticism because surprise, telling someone to die because you don't like someone's singing is not criticism. i am confused because everyone always say idols lose control over themselves when they join the industry but suddenly, they're to blame for the music, the concepts, the copying? people attack the idols as if they're responsible for that, it doesn't make sense. it's the company, always them..

    The ending of this video didn’t age that well considering Coachella….🥶

  • @Daraa100
    @Daraa100 Před 26 dny

    i really had to step back from the yunjin 'hate train' when i looked at jyp and other hybe artists. both have had a million and one collabs with Coca-cola who actively funds isntreal and no one bats an eye now recently new jeans collab in How Sweet.... crickets if we want to call for change we need to leave behind hate because attacking yunjin (+somi) for something that almost all major idol groups have done seems very disingenuous and looks like we want to drag down an idol for no reason. The same can be said for the vocals we saw with Sakura's 'response' that she felt like the group was being unfairly attacked for mistakes which is true but the hate really dumbs down valid criticism, making it look like that when really we as an audience SHOULD be trying to uphold a certain standard in talent to at least try to force companies to debut idols 1. of age and 2. with the skills that they are presented of having.

    • @juliasjingles
      @juliasjingles Před 26 dny

      i think the reason people are reacting differently id because the cola collabs were sort of enforced onto those groups since it was a decision made by their companies, yunjin on the other hand bought starbucks on her own accord. (but as an arab muslim who very much supports palestine, i dont think her buying starbucks = supporting israel, i think she very well couldve just been ignorant and not known the importance of the boycott, the HUGE amount if hate is unnecessary)

  • @fervherrera218
    @fervherrera218 Před 26 dny

    The criticism about a music group that is not able to hold itself on a simple encore without dancing and frankly an easy song IS VALID they should be able to accept the criticism and improve yes they will not become Wendy but at least they would be able to become competent singers What baffles me and annoys me is that woman are always held to this extreme standard of perfection that man are not, the hate for women is always so vile and evil when there’s boy groups out there that are worst that lsf and momo together and they don’t get half of the hate women get like be serious don’t be an hypocrite, also is not THAT serious not anyone can be Beyoncé and that’s fine, although I will say that lsf actually needs to improve practice and learn with proper singing teachers they can only get better. I guess that my take is HATE ON MID MEN NOT ON HARD WORKING WOMEN 🥰🥰

    The XG strategy was very smart. They sing in English to reach the majority of the world listeners and do away with singing multiple languages eliminating extra stress. Then they get produced/perform in South Korea for the exposure since they can't get that doing it in Japan. It helps that their music/mvs are very well produced. If their music was just like the rest of K-pop I would have just skipped it after watching it for a few seconds. That's what I call well thought out strategy.
