    Lieber Archie Fire Lame Deer, ich danke Dir für die Zeit, die Du uns alle in der Schweiz begleitet hast und uns den ROTEN PFAD erklärt und näher gebracht hast. Danke für die Inipi-Zeremonien und die Lakota-Lieder, die Du uns gelernt hast zu Singen, wir haben Sie von Dir schätzen und Singen gelernt. Wir lernten deine Kinder John und Josephine kennen, leider lernte ich deine Frau und die Mutter deiner Kinder nie kennen. Von ganzem Herzen Danken wir Ihr, dass Sie dich unterstützt hat in deiner Mission dem interessierten Rest der Welt vom ROTEN PFAD zu erzählen und er erzählte am Feuer im Tipi, wie Eure Vorväter und Ahnen mit der Natur in Einheit gelebt habt und Nichts verschwendet habt aus der Natur! Danke für die wichtige Rolle, die Du und deine Reisenden Brüder, damals für uns Alle in Europa inne hattet. Du hast uns sensibilisiert für alle Kreisläufe in der Natur, für das sorgsame Umgehen mit der Mutter Erde. O Mitakuye Oyasin für alli mini Vrwandte in Schwyzerdütsch!

      Thanks for reaching out. You are truly blessed to have such a great man in your family. I was blessed to do many ceremonies and sweats with Archie when he lived in Santa Barbara. I don't remember your mother, as she was probably only a baby then. I remember John and Josephine as children being on a trip to Point Conception we took to do a pipe ceremony and make a video documentary for Archie. We were all almost killed by a massive sleeper wave. ask your aunt and uncle about that time and if a copy still exists. Blessings to you and your family, and much gratitude for all you have suffered and shared to keep these traditions alive.

    Thanks for posting these songs. You might want to update your use of Lakota syntax with correct spelling. See: www.lakotadictionary.org/phpBB3/nldo.php ." Tȟaté", for example, is "wind", not "kate". Likewise, the word for "west" is "wiyóȟpeyata" not "wioch pea a ta", "wazíyata" is north, and so on. It is a sign of respect for the language to use proper orthography. Kudos for effort though! :)

    • @tomhitchcock6214
      @tomhitchcock6214 Před 5 lety

      thanks for the interest, I would like to put up a follow up video soon showing the whole drive system I ended up using. It ended up working quite well. The short answer is that milwaukee uses two connection options, a thread that is the same as a 4" angle grinder nut and a larger 5/8" approx size nut. For the input, i welded a sprocket to a grinder nut, threaded it on and locked it with the left hand thread screw in the center and added a fender washer as a chain guide, the output I use a deep socket wrench on the nut. this connected to a weed whip shaft, which transmits the torque to the prop, aft of the rear wheel. As to how it fastens to the bike, i cut part of the sleeve that milwaukee uses to connect the drill to the angle shaft. Then I welded this to a hinge plate and welded the other hinge plate to the frame. The reason for this is to allow for the chain to be tensioned, and the angle to adjust to the ideal for the drive.

    • @Loveoption9
      @Loveoption9 Před 6 lety

      Thanks for the input, I am not sure what blade play you are talking about. The interlock of the blade and frame are based on the proven "snap-lock" design and was a result of Ed VanHoy's contribution. This has been very robust and was repeated in the Hole in One series, and now the Daktyl. The geometry features a taper interlock that I have never seen have play in, either out of the box or after extreme use.

    Good video. How about the blade itself? Is it sharp and does it feel durable?

    • @Loveoption9
      @Loveoption9 Před 6 lety

      Thanks, The blades are sharp out of the box and I think the new cam clip and safety lock, combined with the original snap lock mechanisms will all stand the test of time. Regarding Sharpness and Durability: These knives are made of 420J2 Steel, which is the basis of many manufacturers' blades. The advantages besides low cost, are stain resistance, ease of sharpening, and ductility. Thus having a blade with holes, while removing weight, now adds a set of stress risers and choosing a steel more likely to bend than fail when overstressed is a better choice in this application. The downside is that the knife will require more frequent sharpening than a harder steel, and thus is not ideally suited to high wear applications.
