How far down does it get you? Mine will get 6 feet deep and then once I let out line about 30 feet its behind my boat dragging at the surface . I’ve double triple checked how I have it set up and tied . I’ve played with 0-1-2-3 settings. All the same

Just a few steps from my sister's house. Years ago, there was a large sandbar that the creek ran through. Folks would stand on that sand bar and catch steelhead from it. The sandbar is gone now.

Hunting in 1-3 footers on Lake Michigan when it was 17 degrees out. My empty mind didn’t think of ice build up from the spray and thought 1-3 foot is very huntable for the area I was going to. Never again. the boat was a solid block of ice our layout was almost too heavy to lift back into the tender boat, getting the boat on plane was tough so we had to stop and break ice off. We got frozen into our jackets which were over our waders and had to pee so bad at the launch my buddy and I just broke each others zippers ripping them off. We shot our limit in about 45 minutes to an hour though 😂. Told my buddy I’ll do wind and waves, I’ll do cold but never a mixture of the two again

Does this mount increase the amount of weight and boom length that can be used? I think Lund sport track limits to 24” boom and 5# ball.

New to the area, are there any good public fishing spots around Presque Isle Bay? I've tried out the public dobbins landing and Lampe marina/south peir area but both times have been filled with inconsiderate anglers who leave trash everywhere and have no sense of giving people space. Id love to get out on the water to catch some perch :)
