It’s strange to see how stubborn she could be. I was alive when this interview happened. I was 12 or 13 and I knew that he was trying to turn his fame into a chance to tell us to stop killing each other. No wonder they hated him. The war was ridiculous and brought only suffering to the world.

Even as a Lennon fan, I have to say...... I'm on Gloria's side. John & Yoko's campaign for peace achieved just one thing..... publicity for John & Yoko. At 29 John considers himself to have "grown up" but their actions and behaviour in the name of peace were really very childish. And within 2 years John had gotten bored with this stance and decided that protesting was the answer.... until he got bored with that and went off to play drunken rock start...... until he got bored of that !!! and so it went on. He finally found out that the best peace you can ever hope to find in life is "your own peace of mind" But he discovered that just as his time was running out. Paul McCartney had found that peace of mind a decade earlier with Linda and the kids on his farm. For my money, Paul was the grown up.................... That said............. RIP John :-(
