Fall is right around the corner which means fall tillage is near as well. Cant wait to jump in a plow or disk ripper with the feel of the cool air and fall feeling mixed with the smell of hog manure haha. Installing Hydraulic Hopper Traps and Buffing the Cart Tractor

In this video we did some more work in the shop and installed some hydraulic hopper traps on one of our Timpte trailers. I also ended up buffing out some paint fade on the cart tractor because (someone) let the foam dry haha. If anyone has any suggestions on how to remove tar spots like Carson asked please let me know. Would be helpful! Enjoy the video.

You could own 3 to 4 homes for the price of this tractor. I bet maintenance would cost ridiculous. 10k just to be looked at. 35k for a computer chip replacement. Must be a millionaire to own one of these lol. That's why farmers still use old equipment.

Buddy has a Calmer head he built from an older JD 12C. Runs it on a s770 and it outperforms his newer JDs780 w/ 12CF Stalkmaster. bigtime. Cutting speed and grain loss/quality. He says it's the Calmer head IDK.
Some people say those combines are monsters in corn. It would be cool to compare with the X 9.
You should make more videos. These are good.

Does the single track make a mess on turns?
When there is no residue and you turn fairly sharp yes it can burm the soil pretty high if you try

Did you guys build the cultivator bar or have a shop build it for you? The transport dimensions look intriguing if you could flat fold it like a 16 row and still have clearance between the rear window and front folding rows. The 8rx’s set their 3 point hitches back further than our rt’s so their may be enough room
What determines your decision to plow a field vs disk ripping it?
We try to plow all of our corn acres that will be soybeans the next year. We disk rip all of our soybean and oat acres, and any corn acres going into oats the next year. We run a Corn, Soybean, Corn, Oat crop rotation
@@redneckfarmingcorporation4116 Planting oats after corn do you add any fertility to the oats or is there enough carryover fertilizer from the previous corn crop to grow the oats?
@@JDandFord Depends on nitrogen levels, but half the rate you would put on going into corn.

Will you use a grease gun? We have a grease gun coupler that we would like to work with on a video shoot.
We have 2 Milwaukee Grease Guns. And yep we have a zirk lock adapter.
For down corn, a reel is a necessity
Maybe someday we will get one but we need really really bad downed corn to justify it and for it to pay for itself.

Nice to see y’all are getting ready, 2 weeks and probably 850-900 acres in still haven’t seen 200bu corn yet, but this was in dry sandy stuff plus there’s no fertilizer gave to it besides the starter when it’s planted. Hope y’all have. a amazing harvest

Is Lexion more expensive than x9?
Lexion is less money. That John Deere green paint is expensive. And the Class will out perform the X9 hands down

That lexion is gonna pick circles around the x9 then lexion is the best combine on the market, they weren’t made for looks they were made for work, I’ll take a lexion over any other combine anyday and 2nd would be a 9250 case
Second would be the 760tt world record holder twice.

I saw one of these last Tuesday!
Although they look similar the pre series has some differences when alongside any other 8700. With a larger and more luxurious cab, an adjustable spout, and a grain tank with less folds.

Claas are great machines! The 8700 would be a class 9 right?
@@redneckfarmingcorporation4116 Great machines! I feel like they are just underrated! Personally for performance and reliability claas takes the cake! I still bleed green and yellow but combine wise claas knock them all out the park. Fendt could be better but reliability is a factor in my opinion, they give long warranty on their combines because gearboxes always going out lol. I'll take claas combine anyday!

I like vehicle maintenance, because it reassures my mind, that the equipment is okay and will be okay for a specified time. PS, you have an incredible shop. A great place to change filters and fluids.

Hello! It's a fine tractor despite the IVT. The e23 transmission is sturdier then more reliable...
This is true however the e23 is a pain and very inefficient in rowcrop functions.
The IVT is much quicker. When you turn on the ends with a cultivator or tine weeder and need to get to speed almost instantly to roll dirt the IVT is better in every way

@@redneckfarmingcorporation4116 ; the e23 is 10% MORE efficient with drawbar loads‼️ If you like IVT, you can drive the e23 pretty much the same 🤗 Which begs the question; why aren't you driving that tractor like you would drive a pickup with automatic transmission❓❓ Now, don't get me wrong here.. You can drive your tractor ANY WAY you want to.. That's part of 'the magic' of the Deere IVT, AND, e23 transmissions‼️ But the fact is, Deere's IVT and e23 can both be operated with only the throttle and the brakes‼️ (just like your pickup) Once the target field speed is established (like cruise control with your PU) the tractor maintains that speed only at WOT (wide open throttle).. To reduce ground speed, merely pull back on the throttle to an acceptable speed. Depress the brakes, AT ANY TIME! , and you stop‼️ Note: it is STRONGLY recommended, with wheel tractors, to lock the brake pedals together, UNLESS you need individual brakes‼️

If I could contact him I definitely would but so far we seem to be okay with getting them installed but we would be open to advice and tips for sure!

We run a deere and the older 760tt no comparison claas gets way more done and we have way more breakdowns with the deere
