    • @user-fk2ck9gm8v
      @user-fk2ck9gm8v Před 13 dny

      @JCLinMD I consider it a junk fee. Doctors already earn a substantial income, and adding this fee, especially in today's economy, is unwarranted. It seems like another way for doctors to increase their earnings, reflecting a trend of growing greed. On average, doctors see over 51 patients a day. Calculate that over a year, and it's clear how much extra income this fee generates annually.

    • @user-fk2ck9gm8v

      The property management company I rent from added a junk fee this year that benefits them, not the renters. My rent is listed as $1250 per month, but they've added a $38 monthly fee, making the actual cost $1288. What is this world coming to?

    I had a zoom visit with my provider that lasted 4 minutes. I was charged the initial diagnosis code for primary care and my insurance was charged over $400. I paid $25 for my copay, and then they added this additional code for that same appointment, where the doctor just continued my medication during our visit and now I pay $50 because my insurance charged me $25 more for the code. My copay means nothing now. Absolutely ABSURD! Providers should be ashamed of themselves. Healthcare is already unaffordable and now providers can charge more for having a relationship with their patient. Would you prefer we go to a different provider each time? Or just not get help for our health conditions in general? I've already contacted my legislators that passed this code to let them know how absolutely insane and ridiculous it is. A 4-minute ZOOM call. Disgusting.

    My oncologist in Scottsdale added this fee the second zoom call we had. He has ordered an MRI and prescribed ONE medicine. That’s it. And yet they added $18.34 as the g2211 fee. I was livid as I had already paid a $100 copay. Many office personal could not figure out what the fee was for. Finally someone told me it was a “relationship” fee basically. I can’t believe it. I’m bleeding money and they want to charge me for having a relationship with me?? Can you tell me what exactly the money pays for. Does it pay for the office managing my account, for example seeing if something is in-network or out-of network? Would that be a part of longitudal relationship and managing patient care? Where can I find the code manual?

      Ideally, you would turn on the light source, point the camera / scope tip towards an 18% grey card, and then press White Balance. Most people will point toward a white 4x4 gauze or a drape, and then press the white balance button, to achieve white balance. Proper white balance is important so that the color of the bladder and urethral tissue can be appropriately evaluated.

    This product has been an absolute blessing for my incontinent, practically bedridden aunt. It's very expensive, but in her case, it paid for itself in the first few days, and continues to pay for itself on catheter refills on the 1st day of each month when you compare to having to pay a caregiver $180/night (for a late night plus early morning caregiving shifts at $30/hr w/ a 3 hr minimum each time), when during those times, all she needs is a 5 minute diaper change so she can go back to sleep & there's not much for the c/giver to do for the next 2 hours & 55 minutes of each of those minimum shifts. A bedridden patient CANNOT lay in a wet diaper as they're at high risk for bedsores which are of course much worse in the diapered area. That's a dreadful bill, especially when she also needs caregiving during the day when there is actual awake time with things for the c/giver to do. It is literally the cost saving difference for her to be able to afford to remain living at home with her elderly husband instead of leaving him for a nursing home, which would likely mean a sooner end of life for them both. Literally, a blessing. We hadn't considered cleaning and reusing the catheters- I'd worry about bacterial infections which incontinent people are already at high risk for, but I'd love to hear more about the success of this trick. As a taxpayer, I'd hope that Medicare would at least pay for this device in certain circumstances where it would save their program $ like it does for my aunt. Instead of Medicare paying IHSS workers or wild nursing home fees, they could fund PureWicks, and likely receive them at a much lower bulk price for an overall savings to their program and happier, therefore healthier patients.
