As an artist (human), i think it isn't so similar to interpretation with flash but more advanced with artical human touch with 24. Is this good for 12fps stylised animation style. I can imagine the potential cartoons that can be made with this ease

I have daughters who are great artist in themselves, but have been brainwashed to believe in by the people they interact with online the AI is deb and evil Satan of existence. How unfortunate. What I see in most reactions are people who came up before this technology was mainstream, very similar to the criticisms that generations earlier had on video versus digital video, from hand painted cell animations to digital painted animations, and now AI assisted animations. I’m betting that individuals who are already using various tools would be able to make incredible art with these software.

I don't really know how all of these models work, but I can't help but think that there should be models trained on very specific attributes of a scene. Like dust weather for instance. Training a model that doesn't interfere wth the subjects of the scene and is trained to only modify weather effects. Another model could be trained to just deal with movement of trees/nature. What I am getting at is that it seem the models are trying to do too much, and that there should be more models working together where each one has a specific task. One model could be trained on how to combine the different models, setting the composition, identifying objects and delegating tasks without trying to really influence the actual design rendering. Idk, just a thought

Allow me to be devil's advocate here and argue that the only one's who will ultimately benefit from where this sort of AI is headed are the studios that will be able to practically eliminate their entire animation departments and replace the thousands of people who worked in them with a mere handful. Given the progress AI has made in just a few months in terms of being able to generate original music, scripts, voices, sound effects, and animation (to name but a few), it is entirely conceivable that within a very short time a single person will be able to create an entire feature-length animated movie in a matter of weeks (or even days) with little effort. And as the technology evolves (which it will), the input needed will become less and less, until you can practically train a monkey to do it. I know the counter argument is that this will allow the "democratization" of animation, in much the same way people have already argued that AI image generators have allowed the democratization of art. But the truth is, art (in its various forms) has always been democratized. There was never anything preventing people from producing their own art, just as there has never been anything preventing people from producing their own music, or books, or animation. The only thing that ever stood in people's way on these fronts was a willingness to commit to the time it takes to become proficient in any of these arenas of endeavour. And if you think that this will be a boon for one and all, that it will create new jobs in the field of animation that will replace old ones because now more people will be able to make animated movies/shows, then I think you may be deluding yourselves. Yes, in a few years we will doubtless see a flood of animated films and shows created by single individuals, but the very fact that anyone and everyone will be able to do this almost certainly means that there will be little to no money to be made from it. Certainly few will be able to make a career out of it. We have already seen many artists who were making a living selling their original art on places like Etsy now forced to look to other areas of endeavour for income. Years ago, when word processors and outfits like Amazon's self-publishing operation allowed anyone to write and publish a book, many argued this would democratize writing, that now anyone could write a book and get it published. It was heralded as a new age in which many would be able to make profitable careers from writing. But the reality was far less glowing. Most self-published books sell less than 250 copies, and most of those are sold for about a buck. At the same time, traditionally published authors like me saw advances shrink and sales go down, because when you saturate a market with so much product, it is inevitable that market share for each individual writer is going to shrink. There are, after all, only so many readers with a limited amount of time and money to spend on books. I think AI is going to be transformative, and in the STEM areas it will take us to unimaginable heights of expanded knowledge and technological innovation. But in the arts, I'm afraid it will only result in fewer people able to make a living doing creative things, eventually reducing art to a hobby affordable only to those who have the leisure time to pursue it with no concerns about remuneration. I'm 65, and as a writer and artist I'm less concerned about my own prospects because I probably don't have that many more years on this planet. But for my nephew, who spent two years getting a degree in filmmaking and spent another four years getting a degree in animation, I am truly worried. He graduated from the animation program more than a year ago, yet has still not landed a job in the field. Nor have many others who came out of the program with him. The industry has been shrinking in the last few years, and now, with these developments in AI, I suspect that the prospects for trained animators like my nephew will grow fewer and fewer in the years to come. I am not naive enough to think there is any stopping AI, nor am I a Luddite who is against technological progress. Quite the opposite, in fact. But I am also not wearing the rose-tinted glasses I see far too many wearing when it comes to AI. A study done for the British government suggested that by the middle of the century AI will have eliminated 8 million jobs in Britain--that in a population estimated to be about 77 million by then. That is a staggering number, and one we should all be concerned about, because clearly civilization cannot survive if our world becomes one where a handful get extremely wealthy off AI while the majority of the population becomes unemployed, with no source of income other than government handouts and charity. The AI revolution is upon us, but I fear it is far less democratizing than many champion it to be.
