One of the most beautiful districts of Istanbul, is Ortaköy in Beşiktaş. Ortaköy is famous for its mosque, kumpir (baked potatoes) and waffle shops.
You can go to Ortaköy by taxi or ferry. We recommend you to use the ferry from Eminönü to Ortaköy. Thus, you can make the journey here more enjoyable by ferry. You can easily find out the ferry lines and times to Ortaköy from the link in the description of the video.
Ortaköy Mosque (formally the Büyük Mecidiye Mosque), is a mosque situated at the waterside of the Ortaköy pier square, one of the most popular locations on the Bosphorus. The mosque was built by the Armenian architect Balyan in 1853 by Sultan Abdülmecid.
It has a distinctive view of the Bosphorus Strait of Istanbul and the Bosphorus Bridge. The exterior of the mosque attracts attention with its baroque and rococo style stone carvings and relief decorations.
As you can see, the Ortaköy district is a must-see for anyone visiting Istanbul.

If we can go to Blue mosque by bus after paying in US Dollars then is it possible to pay in US dollars to get back to the airport from Blue mosque area?
I called HAVAIST company. They told, it's possible to pay in USD at the airport, but not from the Blue mosque area. You have to pay in Turkish Lira or with your credit card. Credit card is the best method.
Very informative 👍
Thank you bro.
@@IstanbulTheQueenofCities no problem bro 🥰

This is not true, you can go to pray even if you are a tourist.... It doesn't cost
The mosque is free for all muslims even native or tourist for praying. But nobody can enter the upstairs for free now.

Hi again, i have been waiting your Istanbul videos
Thank you very much. We’ll make new videos asap. 🌸
Yes exactly
At 13:23, the black eunuchs were "recruited" from Africa. Great video, but are you serious? They were procured from Islamic slave traders. The Islamic slave trade, which captured both Europeans, as you said, and Africans, was far worse and lasted nearly a millennium longer than the European slave trade. The Muslims castrated the procured African males and forced them to guard the women in their harems, knowing they were no threat to the sultans with respect to having sex with the women and to procreating with them. Why use the word "recruited"? Would a man willingly be "recruited" to be castrated so he could guard another man's harem of mostly enslaved women? Just tell the truth; just say they were African male slaves of Muslims.
Kizlar agha Recruitment and advancement Most of the office's holders, like most black eunuchs in general, were of Habeşi, slaves were traditionally drawn from the Nilotic groups inhabiting Ethiopia's southern hinterland as well as Omotic groups.[22][16] Black slaves, usually purchased as boys from Nubia, then castrated and inducted into the palace service, had begun to be employed as the guards of the women of the sultan's harem since the time of Murad III's predecessor, Selim II (r. 1566-1574), and continued to be so employed until the Ottoman Empire's end. [9] Since İslam religion was against the castration, the slaves preferred were castrated boys from Coptic Christians, Jews of Sudan and Egyptian extract. Also the people who castrated due to their crimes were accepted in this job as well.[23] en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kizlar_agha
@@IstanbulTheQueenofCities Albeit concise, "recruitment" is merely a euphemism. Forced recruitment = slavery.
@@profoundgreetingsfromneptune Yes, they were slaves. The entire Harem was in contrary with the Quran. The "Islamic" tradition founded the Harem. For this, I agree with you.
Your choices of REPETITIVE 'music' between your explanations is UNNECESSARILY DISTRACTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OTHERWISE, a fine and informative tour.
Thank you for your feedback.
A prison is a prison regardless of how beautiful the walls and floors are. Poor young girls captured and forced to live in this dark cold palace and have then have your children murdered.😢
☹️
A što ne prikažete mesto na kojem su odsecali glave!!! Zlotvori, ubice, monstrumi!!!
Neden türkçe alt yazı yok 😮
Turkce altyazi eklenmistir. Bilginiz olsun. Tesekkur ederiz.
Basically the Harem was considered the inner palace and where the royal family and concubines lived.
Yes, correct.
Islam is a bloody religion. It has caused much suffering. The lovely majestic music here doesn’t fit
Very informative video ❤❤❤
Thank you very much bro. ☺️
