zhlédnutí 21KPřed 5 měsíci
This Simple Cold Tub build took me less than an hour to put together, and it has me hooked! I love it, and use it almost every day. It is made of a grizzly cooler, and has filtration and a water chiller to adjust temperature. All in, it cost me less than $1800. Hope you enjoy this video. Very interested in the parts list please
I am so there with you! A waste of money. I am trying to get them to take it back... I'm way over the 100 day window
Would this work without drilling the tub? I could just put the intake/output hoses over the top?
Looks like a great design. If you could send the parts list that would be great. Nice job!
Thanks for the video. I've been looking into cold plunging for a while. I would like to build one and I came across you video. I would like to get the parts list and give it a try. Cheers.
Thanks for the parts list. I bought a transfer pump from Lowes and it is LOUD! and only pumps 240 GPH (5.5 GPM). I'm going to get the pump you used. Seems super quiet, which excites me.
List please
Looked at your description for the cooler size. Man, I need a bigger cooler as I am 6’1” 183 and considered using the cooler I have several Months ago, but it’s too small. Thanks
Can you send me the parts list?
Reviews a refurbished product: wonders why it doesn’t work properly
Does the pump in the filter compete or work against the pump in the chiller?
The Grizzly 450 is now on sale FYI. The other interesting feature of the 450 is two drains on both ends of the tub, so in theory we don't need to drill a hole. Just use both drains. I'll post more when I'm finished building.
Any updates on the build?
@@dc2850waiting on a few parts
Just bought a grizzly 450 as well. I am curious how your build goes. It would be nice to know what different you do with your setup using the two bottom drain plugs and the types of connections/adapters you use to connect to the drain plugs. Let me know how it goes and your updated parts list. Thanks a bunch man!
would love the parts list and any tips you have
Tool.
can I get away with a smaller pump, 950gph seems like overkill?
THE PARTS LIST IS IN THE DESCRIPTION!!!
How is anyone spending over $500 on this project??? 2nd hand chest freezer plus inflatable spa pump (which are super cheap once the spa is unusable) plus an inkbird controller. Seriously, some sealant and you're good, honestly I think $200 would be overkill.😂
Are you using 20 or 50 micron filters? I have the same set up but noticing flow issues with the 20 micron filters.
I love writing and I’m trying to write my stories to get them published, I’m leaning towards the kindle switch
Can I get parts list
I guess they only have the grizzly 450 now. Will the chiller still work or will i need to buy a bigger one?
Snagged the culligan on top of Danner pump for my inflatable tub set up and added a sediment filter right off the tub outlet. Thanks for the idea
Could I get the parts list?
Just seeing your video and was wondering if you could email the parts list to me? I’m not sure how to securely do that from CZcams 🤷🏼♂️
No way would I have accepted refurbished. Just hearing of such a sneaky move, turns me off the R2. I pay for solutions, not problems.
How long did it take for you to get your cooler delivered once you placed your order?
Cooler is no longer available on the link provided just so you know 👌
Parts list please and thank you!
You think you can put this together but cant even read the description?
Parts list. Thanks….
Hi nick! Love this build. Curious what did you use to cut the tubing? Thanks!
Would love the parts list please.
Would love to try this nice video
Awesome video. looking into building a cold plunge. Send parts please
Does it help if I go with the 1/2hp or 1hp chiller or 1/4hp just fine?
I'd go with a 1/2 hp!
Is the water coming out of the chilller supposed to be close to what you set it at?I just set mine up and it’s not much colder than the ambient temp..maybe it takes a bit?
You need to give it some time! 12 hours of runtime should cool it down.
Why did you choose to drill out your drain bulkhead hole vs using the Grizzly's builtin drain?
Makes it easier to drain, the bulkhead is too low IMO to be the outlet, and standardizes the hole size too
The grizzly 450 has two drain bulkheads on either side. Aside with your opinion of the bulkheads being to low, it would be nice to not have to drill 2 holes…what would be the downsides IYO of doing this approach. (I figured I could install a bypass on one of the tubes to make it easy for draining)
Parts list please :-)

How do you empty and refill your tank?
You don’t get to go up the hills?! That’s the best part!!
Just did the climb on an E-bkie yesterday. 7000 ft of elevation!
@@nickrandy1 this accent is one of the only reasons I even want to come to hawaii! lol
Get a Rubbermaid livestock 100 gallon tank, $130, shaves $650 off this price, put the tubes right into the top of the tank, no drilling.
He might've considered condensation being it's inside his house.
@@gilberttorress1486 You can get a cover for the rubbermaid tank.
@@roblianoofficial a cover wouldn't prevent condensation. You would have to buy a floor pan, but hey I'm probably biased because I had both and prefer my grizzly lol. Price point cheaper but for convenience I'm sticking with the grizzly.
@@gilberttorress1486 I keep mine outside, not the Rubbermaid but a metal tank, with a chiller, just offering an option to those who don't want to drop hundreds.
I think the grizzly is worth it for the insulation alone. I run my chiller 30 minutes a day and it stays cold. just my 2 cents
that's super interesting, do you have a video on how to plug/unplug the tubes you connected to the cold bath ? This plug/unplug system sounds robust (I believe it's called hose couplings)
RM2 pen tips don't last and they are expensive.
How tall are you? I am looking to build a plunge. I want to make sure I fit. I’m 6’2. I love the self talk and motivation.
Thanks, 5 11!
Thanks for making and sharing this video. I am in my 5th year of board building without great success yet. I enjoyed the journey, but dang that looked like fun. How much experience did you have riding before that day? You looked like you must have had some experience? I'm in Michigan and my hands feel the same way windsurfing, going to wait until Mothers day to get in with my latest DIY board. Thanks again for sharing, I'll always keep this option open if I ever could afford it! lol
Definitely worth the wait! I’ve been on foils before a little bit, yes!! Not a ton on an efoil though, 3 rides
Even with the filter, how ofthen do you need to do a water change?
6 months-1year depending on your comfort level
Anyone know where to buy cooler? It seems like they are discontinued.
I bought mine from webstaurant . com
