Great sermon!!! Such an uplifting subject - it would be nigh unto impossible to move forward without the absolute assurance that Jesus gives believers of the life that’s yet to come. It begs to ask the question why so many people are so blind to The Truth…….there’s still time but don’t dawdle!! Praise be to God.

Wonderful sermon, interspersed with military anecdotes, personal experiences and humor. He carried the message with great passion, continuously reinforcing each and every point, keeping everyone’s rapt attention. Of course the Bible is a pretty interesting and glorious place to live and learn - after all, it’s the word of God. We here at Westside are blessed with wonderful sermons week in and week out and his sermon this Sunday was certainly no exception. The congregation with him throughout his presentation. As we say in the Navy, Bravo Zulu (Well done)!!

It is always great to see another of the myriad of tie-ins between the Old and New Testaments. You can’t really just study either one and leave the other one to lie fallow. That’s why I always see the Bible as a book with two chapters - you must read and study both chapters to fully grasp and appreciate the whole “story.”

These “What We Didn’t Say” conversations always amplify & clarify the Sunday sermons. The sermons stand on their own in teaching us all that God’s word, as contained in the Bible, tells us. The combination of the sermons and these sessions is such a blessing because they help to gently push us even further in to the light of God’s love for us. I’m continually strengthened in my faith by the huge difference it makes and very thankful for the obvious love you all freely give all of us that are blessed by being here at Westside!!! “How Great the Father’s Love for Us” is on display here always.

Learning, testing, maybe failing is a lifelong process we all go through. In secular terms many times we may only get one chance to pass the test. In our spiritual walk when we don’t get a perfect test score, God gives us additional chances, correction and guidance to understand & learn from our mistakes in such a way that by, the correction, we can ultimately give glory to God - how? When we show others just how blessed we are and by what they have to gain by following the same path. What a blessing to have God’s word as our life guide!!

Another wonderful session - full of so many great tidbits that would have otherwise not surfaced. We’re so grateful that you spend the time to make this available. As I’ve said before, these sessions, coupled with the sermons, the life groups and the deeper life offerings really round out our opportunities to learn more and more about God’s word as contained in the Bible. In addition, bringing the sermon experiences from the two campuses together is just one more way of expanding our knowledge and understanding of God’s word. Thank you both so much!

As usual, the “dynamic duo” hit it out of the park! Teaching from the Old Testament really illuminates and connects us to that which we read and study in the New Testament, from Matthew right on through Revelation. In my case, when I originally learned all the popular Bible stories in the Old Testament but I didn’t connect them with the teachings of New Testament. What a blessing it is to have a factual theological history/teaching to give us a strong foundation in the total truth contained in all of God’s Word! Thank you so much.

Another great session - Pastor David you and Jordan had a wonderful synergy and I see and feel that same connection between you and Pastor Richie. The energy that the two of you generate is palpable and it feeds right through my iPad!! It helps to further bring our weekly lessons to life. As an aside, I’ve always felt and have used it myself in my previous life, to use humor to further accentuate a point or to liven up a presentation. It’s a great tool but, like you, I never scripted it, I just let it sneak its way in as appropriate. This week’s lesson in Exodus is a terrific example of the pitfalls that we all fall into once in a while. We humans love excuses - I can’t do it because (fill in the blank). God helped Moses with this and He can do the same for us. We see how that turned out for Moses and it can work the same way for us as we tremble at the thought of being gospel ambassadors. Between God’s support and the Nike slogan, we can “just do it!.” Lesson learned!

Two welcomes: so glad to have this podcast back and so happy to welcome Richie to it. What a blessing it is to have this opportunity to hear more facets or additional insights into the teachings from the past week’s sermons! It’s great to be in the Book of Exodus and understand more fully the impact of this phase of our deliverance and how it sets the stage for the ultimate deliverance we see coming as described in the final book of the New Testament. It further solidifies that the Old and New Testaments are really one continuous story of Jesus as He was there at the beginning and will be at the end of what we think of as our worldly life but truly it’s at the beginning of our heavenly life. The Kingdom of God is and not yet. When Jesus returns at the end of time, he conquers, there is judgement and the earth and the heavens are destroyed and God brings forth a new Heaven and a new earth, Eden. All believers from the beginning of time will be changed in an instance into glorified beings and will serve God and reign with Christ forever and forever. What this tell you today, now, in this world is that we are here to the end - no secret rapture 7 years before the end - More importantly and especially to the evangelicals, there is no future reign where it ends with another battle against sin and evil. To believe such is to say Jesus failed at ruling the nations during this time. Reread Rev 18-22, it is repetitive, the destruction of evil, sin and the false prophet, antichirst beast and the satan are cast into the lake of fire, only once, never to be seen again. When Jesus returns for the second time, it's victorious and it's over, he has defeated the enemy and it will never arise again! It cannot reappear after a 1,000 years. The Kingdom of God is and then will be forever and ever. Don't be deceived, this is exactly what the Bible says! As for more information on life in this Eden like heaven, we know what Paul said, as we are now as mortals, it's beyond our imagination as to how wonderful and beautiful life with our Lord ,Savior and King, Jesus Christ. Is it any wonder why Paul said, For me to live is Christ, to die is gain.

And what did YOU say at the prostitutes, the gangabanger's, the rapists, the murderer's funeral? If you preach hell, your in a cult, not christian. Learn church history. #apokatastasis
