Currently looking for and testing some of the lowest cost (aka cheapest) options available in the marketplace to compare against known, but much more expensive, competitors. Tests conducted to date have been with either water testing typically in gallon or 2-litre bottles or using homemade ballistic gel. The gel is mixed at a 9-1 ratio water to mix by weight using a 250 bloom pork skin gelatin. It is stored, transported and shot cold. Recently purchased bb gun to calibrate. Also recently got a Clear Ballistics block to compare against. I test with a heavy clothing, not full denim, barrier of 1 layer of denim 1 layer of fleece.and 2 cotton t-shirt layers to simulate more realistic clothing.
