Thanks for this video. Mine is a 2015 S85 which has the 12V battery at exact this location (with the fusebox in the middle of the windscreen) which makes the replacement fairly easy. It took me less than half an hour with this video. HOWEVER: This ranger makes two mistakes. 1: you will have to power down the vehicle through the touch screen first before touching the 12V battery.. 2. The sequence is: NEGATIVE-FIREMENSLOOP-POSITIVE and then POSITIVE-FIREMENSLOOP-NEGATIVE. By separating the firemensloop, you hear that he powers down the vehicle and this really should be done via the touchscreen. Every car electrician will tell you that you power down a car by taking the negative off the battery first.

I have a 2015 S85D and had the 12v battery replaced 8 months ago. It was in a different location.

I wish I would have found your video before I did this in mine yesterday afternoon. I bought the Lithium phosphate battery from Ohmmu but their instructional video sucks and completely skipped lots of steps. It took 2 people ~3 hours to do this. I'm relieved mine is done now but I was about to have a nervous breakdown lol.

I wish the tech had used a fender cover to protect the vehicle fender from damage, its the little things.

Did you catch the video where the guy removed all the carpeting in the frunk. Seemed a much harder install that way but this Tesla tech has has it down to a science. Looks pretty straightforward in this video.
