"Don't like it? Change it!" in Dice & Fold
Dice & Fold is a card battler/dungeon crawler with roguelike elements where you roll the dice to defeat your foes. Inspired by classic Solitaire, in a top-down table and enemies made out of cards, you try to beat the dungeon with 20 unique classes.
Today we're beating the game using the sculptor which is a challenge on its own but we also try to do it with the Wanderer of all companions whose ability literally does nothing! Will we do it? See here!

@@Centinym probably! Between time constraints and technical difficulties, I somehow managed to finally return to this game. When I find time to record more next, we'll beat the game probably and play some equally dark/scary, though a tad newer, and I'm really excited :)

@@andylee1982 there is a playlist on the channel with some runs, maybe they'll help. I'm not great, though, but we do get wins, haha.
for the first runs, you often kept the orange dice in the bag, while you let a 2 damage monster attack you for 3 or more turns to fill the goldcoin quest, that way you got 3 or more damage which you could have avoided by using orange first. every useless lost healing will make a problem later if you dont find an overpowered combo with items. edit : lol around 22:08 your idea was to fight longer , but you stashed away a shield six and took 3 damage instead ( red dice are rare) . you get a lot of damage , dont shield even you have them. on the start of each new round your shield is zero and the chance to get enough grey dice to defend in round one is low, so you get hit again and loose... edit2: you bought an apple for two gold , two gold costs you ( in your gameplay style) 2 of each dice , to heal 10 , but your saving dices and get damage game style cost you more health then the 10 you gained .. edit3 : around 33:40 if one monster prioritise to attack hero and one the companion, and you just buffed the heroes shield, then you should have taken the prio companion monster out. (the way you did it, you ended up with lost life on companion which is hard to heal and extreme shield on hero which is lost on next round) similar before your other companion died , you silenced the 4 damage monster killed the 2 damage monster, then next round the 4 dmg monster killed the low health companion. you could have killed the 4 dmg monster ( with your ability, the same way), and silenced the 2 dmg one, that way the companion would have survived.

I swear, those were everywhere some time ago. I didn't finish the thought I had there in the video but I meant to talk about these toys that had water in them and you'd hit a button or a crank and it would shoot out loops into the water or something. Weird stuff that was incredibly entertaining when I was incredibly young. I don't know why.
@@magiwastaken I HAD ONE LIKE THAT There were like buttons you press and the loops swirl in the water and you had to make them go around a post/pillar thing like a water ring toss

Thanks for letting me know! Since it's a video in a series of videos and since the first video wasn't too long ago, I figured the explanation wasn't necessary but you're absolutely right. I probably should start by explaining stuff in each video to make them more accessible to new viewers. I'll do that once I get to record new episodes in a week again. @@magiwastaken well based on other channels I've seen, I'd recommend to an in-depth explanation of a game's mechanics in the first episode (if needed) and whenever you do extra videos of the same game, do a quick recap with a mention of, "For full depth analysis, please watch the first video linked here," and then go on. I didn't even know there was a first video as YT just recommended me the channel out of the blue.

I don't really understand what you mean, to be honest. I never encountered any issues with the music but they update it frequently, so there's that. But yeah, I also misplayed a bunch, it's what I do :D

So yeah Asol : Out of every power, manaflow is the most dangerous one, with power overflowing the weakest one. 3 stars jinx is one of the easiest champion to win asol with, but you need her relic, that you can get by winning garen 2 stars adventure Fun fact : any win with 10x xp will get a lvl1 champ to lvl 29, some really strong champs like Nora and Morgana can beat asol lvl1 and get tons of levels that way
Oh damn, yeah that's immensely helpful! Manaflow was really rough and consecutive runs also only featured Manaflow Asol which... yeah... That said, I'll try to get Garen Level 2 and equip it on Jinx. Hope that makes a difference and while I won't be able to get the quest for Viego done in time, I'll hopefully get to make some videos on silly builds with different characters in the near future. :) Thanks for the pointers!
Note: This is from the demo that was available at the time. The game, since then, did release already and is pretty darn amazing! Will post more about it once I have time to record more. :) The demo is not available anymore but the full release is stellar! Go support the official release on Steam!
This game is so addicting. I got 15 hours in it already. I hope they add different music tracks and some sound effects and it'll be a lot more enjoyable to play.
I genuinely love it so much and can't wait for the release! As the devs have also stated, this demo is mostly focused on proof of concept and demo, so there will be different music tracks, sound effects and a lot more content, probably, once the game releases! Until then, we've got so many characters, though... and I'm really looking forward to showcasing even more of the demo!

Take your time. Since you're drawing, it might be more creatively satisfying to turn your blog posts into hand drawn power points. Throwing that out there, no need to take it seriously
I think that the problem with backseating is a mindset. It's a form of the golden rule. "I wouldn't mind what I'm about to say, so logically the person who posted the video wouldn't either". Obviously flawed as it presumes a few shared qualities, but that's the essence behind it. It is similar to critiquing an artist. Some artists like myself love critiques and take them freely. You are the sole author of your work, so it isn't like the critique can cause damage. While other artists treat critiques like a crucifix to a vampire. There is a trade-off in that some people may not have anything to say if they feel a critique is not welcome. It has had a knock-on effect where the internet is more civil (relatively speaking to what it was 10-20 years ago) but also much more quiet compared to it's earlier iterations. You can call it peace or you can call it stillness. Depends on your view. No real point to this, just an observation. Not a critique either. :)

I know you said Norra is your favourite, but Her and Viego was super high on my rotation wishlist. I like nothing about Viego, and Norra quickly became the most boring champion in the game. She's in every deck, she just makes you some free blockers and force you to spend removal in her. It makes all the slower decks go to bandle city and play the same way with pie toss and conchologist. Sad she wasn't rotated either years. Especially when Elise was rotated for doing the exact same thing. She's gonna make for more boring games this year unless they nerf her general value and give her a bigger level up payoff, should probably be at least 3 mana for her.
I do get your points. I think the concerns you're raising are valid but also Norra is really fragile (like most elusive units)... she's a granny... Getting her out on turn 3 might be a bit too late. Rather, I think she'd deserve a slight nerf to her level up condition, like increasing the number on that. The fact that she has to be on the board to get higher-level units from portals is a bit rough, though, for most games, so I don't think she's broken or anything... and if you run removal already in your region (see SI), Quietus is already enough, the Soul something card, etc. The reason why Elise specifically was rotated, if I remember correctly, was because she's just a swarm champion... which doesn't fit into Shadow Isles' region pie too well... but I also dislike how BT has become the "swarm region". I wish they'd remedy that. As you also said, lots of slower decks go to Bandle for the sake of stalling... but there are also tons that go to Freljord for the same reasons. Ramping if you have high-cost win cons, freezes if the meta is a lot of aggro and, well, buffs to protect your units if necessary (see FR Teemo or Teemo-Sej). My point here is that I personally am a fan of Poppy not being in the game even though I love her design because BC shouldn't be just "swarm" just like how Shurima shouldn't just be "Akshan on 2 with Swinging Glave on 3". :)
Leblanc is weird, 'cause everyone agrees she's boring compared to her lore. However she is very accurate to her league playstyle. Where she hits you really hard(5 attack) by dashing in from long range and blinking back so you can't hit her back(quick attack). And League of Legends Leblanc is popular despite how brutish she is.
The big thing for Legends of Runeterra is that the developers have to try to both capture the lore and the gameplay of the champion in the game. A lot of people that like LoR, I'd argue, are also interested in the lore... but most people that play League probably only know Leblanc as a burst mage/assassin rather than a schemer and deceiver. So, with that in mind, it's a bit of a mismatch in my opinion but I get why they went for that design. Just wish they had done more with reputation as a concept.
