Hi Teresa. I believe this is the case. However there are changes to suite privileges later this year and more cabins will have access to the Sanctuary. Perhaps check with Princess if this applies to you. I am sure you will have a wonderful cruise regardless.

It surprised us how much came with teh breakfast...it was way too much! Everyone gains weight on a cruise! 🙂

@@AgelessCuriosity I agree. I used to gain ONE POUND per day, until I gave up lunches, and dessert with dinner. Now....No weight gain.

Hi Karl....yes there is only 1 road back down to the ship, so nice and easy. We're sure you'll love Flam; beautiful place. As far as equipment its a combination of a DJI Pocket 2 and Go Pro10. depending on the scenario. Alison & Ian

Hi @Mrpegs1, firstly...if you've only been on the likes of Queen Mary and Victoria previously then Anne should be a pleasant surprise...she's been beautifully fitted out. That said, we prefer Princess (though we wouldn’t rule out going back on Anne). I guess we all look for different things in a cruise and whilst we enjoyed our time on Anne, we still prefer Princess, and that’s largely due to the entertainment being the best we’ve encountered on the 4 differing cruise lines we’ve tried over 13 cruises. Princess excel with their entertainment, not just the quality, but the amount and variety throughout the day. The food isn’t as good as Cunard, but it’s not far off. Also the drinks packages are excellent value and of course the ‘medallion’ technology is the best on the seas. What Cunard excel at is the food and formality, which has been their main selling point for ever. They’re definitely trying to attract a younger demographic with Anne and they seem to be trying differing things out as well such as Silent Disco’s and the new Imagination show (which we’ll give people a glimpse of in the last video). Sadly we haven’t been on Emerald, though we have Ruby on our Panama canal cruise earlier this year, so you may wish to check those videos out to get a feel for what to expect as they are sister ships. We would love to hear back from you as to your thoughts on Anne once you’ve been on her as well as Emerald (and Princess) when you come back. By the way, where are you going to on Emerald? We have been on all the Queens 4 trips coming up in the pipeline we particularly enjoy Transatlantic crossing on the QM2 rather than flying to the USA. We enjoy the structure Cunard offer we don't like resort ships RCL, NCL that we have tried but didn't enjoy, horses for courses I guess. We have been on one Princess ship way back in 2005 the Sea Princess it was fine however things change and memories fade, hence my question. Think I will book the cruise I have in mind. The itinerary takes in Greenland a place I would like to travel too not many offer this country. I will let you know after we travel. Subscribed ..

Greenland (and Iceland) are on our bucket list and sounds fabulous 🙂 Totally agree with you about 'horses for courses' ...that's what's great about cruising...all the lines are different in their own way. We've not tried NCL or RCL we're toying with the idea though as for us destinations are just as important as the ships...and sometimes we have to compromise...still...it beats work! 🙃 Alison & Ian

Hi, dont worry too much about the dress code. Its only an issue on formal nights and even then only for the Main Dining Room. Its just a jacket, shirt and tie...no Tux is required. If you dont feel like dressing up then thats fine, you can eat at the buffet and use all the other venues as normal. Hope that puts your mind at rest. Alison & Ian

Hi. We didn't notice any noise from the live lounge. There are cabins directly below this one so they may hear some noise. Hope you enjoy the balcony as much as we did

Hi Joan, I think the bad comments were two fold, one being from the traditionalists about the styling etc and two from those who clammered to get on one of the first sailing when clearly things still needed to 'bed in' as it were. We're probably more 'relaxed' about that dort of thing, there were certainly some elements that we found 'clunky' and poor, but others that were great...as you'll see later in the vlogs. I was on this cruise too. A very enjoyable cruise and whilst Anne is different to the other ships, there is nothing in my view that makes Anne anything other than a great ship. One of the highlights was ‘Noir’ though. If you’re on the ship, definitely go and see it.

Ruby, Emerald, and Sapphire were all mfg by Mitsubishi ship builders. They are the same floor plan. I have sailed them all and really prefer this class over the newer ships. I’m taking the Ruby to Hawaii in February

Hi. The cabin is advertised for up to 3 people so the sofa would be used as there was no bed from the ceiling that we could see. The sofa was only used to sit on in our cabin and we did not see it converted into a bed. Apologies as I can't be more specific. This wont be helpful to you on this occasion but we will take more note on future cruises

We felt there was enough hanging space but the narrow area outside of the wardrobes made it aqward. It was a good value cabin nevertheless
