I was just diagnosed with a severe case of AERD(Samter's Triad) I actually diagnosed myself while in the ICU in the hospital after another bout of exacerbation. I started Googling my symptoms because I have nasal polyps, asthma, and can’t take NSAID’S. I’ve been suffering from nasal polyps for over 15 years. I had two nasal surgeries and the my nasal polyps came back with a vengeance. My ENT Doctor has prescribed me Dupixcent. She feels that my body needs a rest from all the exacerbation I had. I’ve been hospitalized over 10 times in a years span. Also after catching C-19 my exacerbation has gotten worse. So hopefully Dupixent will help me. I don’t know if I can do another surgery

I have this condition. I have very bad reaction and respiratory distress. I had two sinuous surgery. I got asthma as a adult. My nasal polyps are severe. I had to be put on C-pap for severe exacerbation. The inflammation affects my body and my blood comes back all over the place. It also affects my heart. I aslo break out in a bad rash or my feet will Aspirin desensitization swell up. My doctor just prescribed me Dupixent. She also wants to do the aspirin desensitization. But she wants to wait till I’m a little bit stronger. I’ve had so many exacerbation to the point that my heart rate was so fast they had to stop my heart for a couple of seconds. It was me that brought it the the Hospital Doctors and my ENT after the last exacerbation last week. I Googled all my symptoms and brought it to their attention and they did their research and look at all the hospitals stays I had and the symptoms. So hopefully the Dupixent and the aspirin desensitization will give me a better quality of life. I’ve been dealing with this issue for over 10yrs😢😢Just recently found out I was allergic to NSAID’s and alcohol is starting to do the same thing. Thank God I don’t consume alcohol on a daily basis. Because as for about a year in a half. When I consume alcohol I get the wrost stomach ache. So I’m staying away from alcohol. Thanks for sharing your insight on AERD🥰

I was diagnosed with AERD (Samter's Triad aka Triad Asthma) over 10 years ago. I never had polyp surgery but I immediately got the aspirin desensitization and have taken aspirin every day since then. Since 10 years ago I have had the polyps block my sense of smell every 6 months or so and got a Methylprednisolone course to shrink the polyps. I have done this every 6 months or sometimes less, but recently I discovered that the dose of aspirin that I have taken every day for 10 years was insufficient to prevent the polyp growth and now I am taking four 325mg aspirin a day instead of just one like I have been doing. Hopefully this will prevent my polyp regrowth over the next few months.

Incredibly in-depth! As someone who suspects a CSF leak, this provides a very complete "map" of signs and symptoms, BUT, finding a team/center with the expertise and *patience* to pursue diagnosis is*"non-trivial"*! Do you have available links to imaging studies/examples, and any other guidelines or procedures?
