Here is a vlog of me checking out the Ochanomizu guitar street in Tokyo Japan but the second part. Footage is better because I had learned some stuff. I wanted a part 2 for this video because otherwise it would be too long. Anyway, there are a lot of awesome gibsons, fenders, Ibanez, a Marilyn Munroe guitar, Tim Henson signature and all that. The Ochanomizu guitar street is amazing and I highly recommend checking it out.

I’m really enjoying these vlog style videos.
@@giosundance5643 thanks! I wish I did a bit better but get here’s some raw footage and it’s better than nothing. I like going back and seeing all the stuff. These were awesome stores. You should fly over there someday
2nd/4th
@@dr_drungus3167 my favourites
@@BrianBower I’m about to buy one of these but can’t decide on the deluxe or the regular classic, any thoughts?
@@BrianBower are the suhr pickups really that much better?
@@dr_drungus3167 Honestly probably not!!
Guitar heaven! so cool mate
Oh yeah man! For people like us, it is the most incredible thing. I did some hikes there too and the views were nothing short of amazing too.
Cool place! I miss having stuff like that around where I live.
@@GravesoftheInnocent Yeah man. The selection there is amazing!
I believe I read this was the store that has a Gibson Moderne.
I am not sure but its a cool store and the Gibson and PRS displays are really cool
nice
❤
This video is super rad! So many nice guitars. So many guitars caught my eye in this video.
@@TurpTesta It’s awesome to go back through it myself because I forgot some of them. There are some I wish I had. That Suhr I played was fantastic feeling
Every RG leaves me wanting more. Every S leaves me happy.
S series better.
Thanks for this. I was just there this past May for the 3rd time. Kid in a candy store...
@@drunkenguitarist3051 there a month after me! This street was awesome. It still blows my mind that there’s a street of these. There’s a few guitars I wish I had tried or even bought but life is expensive
Hey Brian, Ola Englund recently bought a super stable camera with face tracking and lots of cool features, maybe you could ask him what camera it is, Cool videos you have made in Japan, I love to watch them. I wish that I could show you the pictures of the ESP's I saw in Frankfurt, but they're fotos on paper and I don't have a scanner at the moment, maybe I can find the reaper carved V ESP online, with the coffin flightcase, I'll try to do that, when I've got some more time to do so.🤘😎🤘 ;o) 🐅
@@TigerIndy Oh yeah, I was struggling. The second part is a bit better. It’s a GoPro. Most of my videos are done with Nikons. Just seeing ESP’s is exotic to me because you don’t really see those where I live. Maybe at big shows (COB back in the day). Seeing a few E-II’s though. They’re quite expensive so not many would be around. Maybe the same where you live??
@@BrianBower I can only find second hand ESP's where I live, they're altso very expensive, but sometimes very old and in mint condition, or if I want a new ESP, I can order them from specialized shops here in Europe, but they're altso pricey. ;o) 🐅
@@BrianBower The camera Ola Englund uses is one hand operated, very small and super quality videos and pictures, I don't know the brand and price, there's altso a few shops where they have E-ll's over here. ;o) 🐅
@@TigerIndy I really wanted an E-II Arrow I played in Hiroshima. I have a short playing it. It was flippin amazing. I have money going to other things right now though.
Sorry for the shaky footage in this one. I am learning this stuff. Anyway what was your favorite guitar in the video??
Searching up some cynic and I find you LOL. Great job haha
HA that is amazing! You're not the first to have had this happen but the other time it was about Epiphones. Thanks
I upgraded one. the playability is great so I replaced the tuners and bridge pickup. big difference. The nut is a cheap piece of plastic with deep grooves which stuck a lot. some sort of nut lubrication helped with that, but still not as nice as a higher quality guitar. I paid $50 for the guitar and another $150 on parts and now take it to every show as a backup guitar. If someone steals it from the bar, I"m only out $200.
And for that 150, you have a much nicer guitar. They do the job. Hard on the back though
Thanks, a walk down memory lane!
@@jayhlava8379 Yup and it didn’t take long for some years to go by did it?
that’s terrible
@@djddndj4650 cool bro
This was one of my favorite guitars back in the early 90's(mine was all black). Turned me on to collecting Gibsons LP's for the past few decades. My current favorite player reminds me of my black Epi Special, my Gibson LP Special Raven.
I would love to see this the other way around: Ibanez Prestige S-series, DiMarzio out - Gibson '59,/'60 Humbuckers_Burstbuckers in.😊 A super comfortable fast guitar with high class sound.... will this work ?
Very smooth playing good stuff
@@IamBoge thank you!!
Can 25.5 handle drop A or Ab on 7 string?
Just make sure you have thick strings for the A
You could try out a few gauges and see how you find it. I love 25.5 inch scales
@@BrianBower same thats why i got 7 string 25.5 scale but im making sure what are the limits
I use 64 gauge for A at 7th string, 25.5 inch.
Hell yeah \m/
Hell Fancy Yeah
Nu metal intro but then you went full weeb
Senpai…… I told you not to tell people I’m a weeb
This comment is Fancy but you already know!
Thank you so much for the unboxing!!
i think it has the gearless tuners ned steinberger created right?
I am not sure but I would not be surprised. I’d love to give this a go with my amp and really give it the time.
I’m being really inefficient here but I looked it up and yes, they have the steinberger gearless tuners.
Blud is speedy I can do it normal speed but this is out of my level. Nice solo btw
My first amp in 2005 bought it with a knock-off Les Paul still a solid piece of gear🤘
Long live CD
The most modern death metal in 90s
They look horrible 😂
I said the same thing when I first saw pics. The guitar makes a lot of sense though. It’s wicked. Top quality stuff
"Not warmed up"... breaks into Final Product by Nevermore! Awesome little demo. While aesthetically it is not something I would buy, I'd be curious to see how it plays.
Haha I am just very self conscious about my playing. It plays amazing. Don’t ever have to worry about that with one of these. Top quality.
I think it’s actually a pretty damn cool looking guitar
You’re a damn cool looking guitar!
@@BrianBower how dare you!!!
Can someone help I've brought this cab but unloaded I have a cellestion g12m greenback and cellestion g12 h 70th anniversary both 16ohm which output jack do I plug into stereo or mono ,help please guys
Tosin af
Damn right! It’s a wicked guitar too
I have one of these guitars with those crappy tuners. Here’s the deal- Modern sealed gear tuners use a 10 mm hole. Those sh!t tuners we had use a 8mm hole, which are considered a vintage style tuner. Vintage 8mm tuners use a (push in style bushing). Modern 10mm tuners have a nut and washer. There seems to be only the two sizes too. It’s either a 10mm hole or an 8mm hole. If you follow this rule of thumb there will be no surprises when you go to swap tuners. I bought Gotoh vintage style locking tuners for mine. They dropped right in the original bushings. Gotoh even gives you a special little punch tool to remove your old bushings if you want to change them. If reading this, follow what I’m saying and you won’t have to ream the holes. Order the correct size tuner for your headstock. Again, it’s either a modern 10mm or a vintage 8mm. The Gotoh locking tuners I bought on Amazon were only 50 dollars. I bought the vintage style locking tuners for my telecaster too. They both look exactly like old school tuners. There is no thumb screws in the back of the tuner. The mechanism they use is quite clever the way they designed it. I also recommend getting a digital veneer caliper if your going to do your own guitar work. It’s super easy and handy to use. Get one on Amazon for like 25 or 30 dollars. Okay good luck everyone 👌
Shall we buy it from Flipkart?
I have no idea. I bought mine from The Source in Canada at the end of the day. Find your reputable dealer wherever you live. Either that or purchase it directly from GoPro
I just bought a used epi LP special 2 simply as a learning platform to putz around on. It was cheaper than going with a kit from harley benton or something like that, and all the upgrades can be used on something else or resold. Should be fun.
Oh yes! You’ll have fun with it for sure. It’s an easy enough platform.
Wish I had seen your video before I did the same damn thing! We received ours today and did an unboxing video (I'm glad we did) and it was just like what happened to you exactly, GoPro box, documentation and then there was that Akaso. We put in a return and have sent it back...so we'll see but I told them I have the unboxing video.
Oh man that sucks!! Are you in Canada? I wonder if it’s the same group of people doing this. It’s such a crappy thing. The good news is Amazon will take it back. It’s still disappointing. I got my GoPro at the source a few weeks later. Sorry about that. I hated having to make this video. I hope more people see this. Also screw the people who scam like this. It’s horrible.
@@BrianBower Yes, Nova Scotia. We wonder if they got a whole shipment like that? Swapped at the source maybe. We took it back to Canada Post right away so now we wait. But, I'm glad my husband did a video of opening it. We'll wait for the refund and then I'll get it straight from GoPro for same price. I think it's horrible that people can do this to someone else. Usually Amazon is pretty good but we've found buying electronics is sketchy...we buy our android phones from Amazon and the one I got for myself didn't have a phone in the box. Empty. Couldn't do a return with an empty box so I had to call them to work it out. They did give me a refund. Just never know with electronics...they must have a massive theft problem at their warehouses? While I'm not happy this happened to either of us, I feel slightly better knowing it didn't just happen to us. I'm glad no one was around to hear all the swearing today (wasn't me lol).
@@Reenaj2666 same province as me! Yeah it can be a gamble on there. Also beware of grey market items as well. Those are usually from third parties. I have a camera that was grey market but it works great. The worst with these GoPros is that they’re shipped and sold by Amazon. It’s due to their return policies being so easy to scam.
awsome playing
Thank you!!
Mine is still working. Have bunch of broken amps laying around but this one is still working. Hopefully forever. I would apreciate that.
Mine always turns on even after sitting around. Once during a power outage, I plugged into a generator and just jammed because it had been a few days without power. I got a Boss Katana mini that runs on a batteries now though so I can use it.
@BrianBower I have mini amps on batteries too. I never had to actually use them but they are sitting there cute 😄 one of them even has drum machine.
definitely plenty of toxic folks out there, but some were funny
Great video
Thanks man!!
I'm not toxic, fuck you. No, but really, I've nearly completely disengaged with any group that is gear-related, regardless of which type of gear. Camera groups, guitaaaaaar groups, etc. So many toxic people in gear groups, and so much brand dick-riding that it's amazing.
next time one of my friends say they "need" a new guitar I'll send them this (I have this model too, my only complain is the tuning stability, I'll probably change to better tuners soon)
I would say if you want a lighter guitar, it would make sense. This thing is back breaking. I really should do a new epiphone video.
@@BrianBower yeah people always say its pretty heavy, since it was my first guitar I got used to it
@@IgorGabriel-uo7jj I jammed with it one night and as much as it’s fun to play, I definitely prefer the weight of my Strandberg or Solar. Either way, Les Paul shapes look great. There’s a Gibson I’d love to have.
Reminds me of the time I went looking for my guitar with an income tax return. Picked out an 09 Schecter C-1 diamond series. Got it 10 years ago.
Oh man, that is a great memory
@@BrianBower indeed. It's my first and only guitar. It was amusingly enough before Best Buy pulled the plug on selling instruments. I still remember looking at was like which one. I pulled it off its hanger and it felt like the one. It was marked down for clearance to $160. The guy marked it even further down, to $150 because it didn't have a box. Later found out it was a $650. Nearly sold it with an amp I got then later sold. Sad part was that I was motivated to learn. Until one day at work cleaning up after a mechanic. He left brake fluid all over the apron outside his bay. Had to mop it up with concrete cleaner. The mop kept breaking and had to fix it. It stripped the calluses off my left hand. Caused the strings to burn my finger tips, just touching the strings. Amusingly enough the mechanic was a drummer.
this is prob your best song BTW, not saying that cause im biased towards the cleanz, its just really quite good lol
I often forget about this one! This guitar needs a refret so bad too. Thank you
You're famous in my house!

Ohh yeah and there are so many guitar stores. One I didn’t get to film was G Club close this. You’re not allowed to film. It was a really cool store too.
