Audio Control D6.1200 amp ..build in DSP ❤ it
Thank you for making this series of videos. I’m try to decide if I want to build a wall in my Suburban or not and I believe that this will help me to decide. About waiting for help or doing anything yourself , I went and bought three sheets of 3/4” MDF about a week and a half ago and I have been trying to get someone to help me unload it out of my Suburban every since then. A couple of days ago I was on my way home from a little trip that I had to make and all of a sudden the motor started running terrible and then it would smooth out and it kept doing that until I got about a half a mile from home and it just quit running all together. Luckily I was able to just barely get it out of the road so I raised the hood and started looking it over and of course I couldn’t find anything that was obviously the problem. So I got back in the truck and it started back up and I babied it all of the way home and it died again. I hooked up my OBD2 scanner and it said that it was running lean on bank one and two. For those guys that don’t know what that means basically it’s not getting enough fuel. So I ordered the parts that I hope will fix it and then I was thinking about it and I realized that I had just filled up the tank with fuel right before my short little trip so that tank is going to weigh an awful lot. Now the proper way to change the fuel pump is to drop the tank because the wonderful engineers at GM didn’t think that putting an access hatch above the tank was a good idea. That being said my thought is that if I could not get anyone to help me with unloading three sheets of wood then I damn sure would not be able to get someone to help me lower the fuel tank out of my truck so I just sucked it up yesterday and I went and unloaded it myself because I’m planning on cutting an access hatch in the floor of the truck myself so that I don’t have to fight that heavy fuel tank full of fuel by myself. So basically I have decided that if there’s any way possible that I can do something by myself then that’s what I’m going to do from now on because even though I just turned 54 Last Saturday and I have a bad back and a lot of other things wrong with me , I can still get the things done faster by myself than waiting for someone to help me out with them.
Next time wait for the ups guy to come by nd throw em a bone to use his hand truck
Nice teamwork from you and the Mrs.
Coming along great 🫡
Put some fluid film on that frame before that rust takes over.
Dope beats
Sweet bass action brother that's killer badass
You coud sink some rivnuts into the floor and that will hold your wooden subframe. Or use the buddy system and and get some bolts to run through the wooden frame and add some lockwashers and nylon locknuts. Have your wife on top. haha..and torque the hardware while you're under the vehicle holding the other side. I would advise setting a pad down between the wooden frame: Mlv, lead sheeting, thick pond liner, to decouple the frame from the interior. Then spray the hardware underneath with your favourite anti rust paint.
good idea, and i have some.......hmm
Real world! If anyone wants to see how it’s done, this is it!
im 100% real world!
Dude, that’s way too heavy! MDF too!!
it is heavy, but the bulk is right over the rear axel
I gotta watch this come together. Cheers from, Ohio.
I’m about to fire up a 6-18 wall in older Tahoe 40,000 watts
I'm cheering u on while ur moving that box.. I know all about those weird feelings u get, dizzy, balance would be off, fatigue, get tired quick... see I have malformation in my brain aka enlarged blood vessels. I have to take it easy in almost everything I do cuz the way my blood flow is in my brain. Scary but like u, just gotta man up and do things or they won't get done. I'm really glad you getting some relief and feeling better. It's a battle for sure.
Looking good, looking good! 🙏
Thanks 👍
What type of wood did you use for your box for the 4 12's?
the old box was depot birch, the one im putting in ia MDF.....heavy, heavy, MDF
Hi, when wiring the ultra cap, is it fused between it and the batteries, and then fused between it and the amplifiers?
yes, if the amp wire is long enough to be fused then yes
Thank you for the reply!
If I lived near you I would love to give you a hand
A decent dolly woulda helped a bit as well. I'm excited for the finished product bro
Another word for it is quiescent current, or the current draw when a thing is powered off but still connected. edit: for spelling
How do you track down a parasitic drain?
Get a multimeter that can read draw. Wire it in line with your positive battery cable and monitor it over time. Make sure you dont open the car door or turn anything on or youll probably pull more than the fuse in the meter can handle.
Single ended RCA’s need to be used with amps with single end inputs. Twisted RCA’s need to be used with amps with differential inputs. If you mix them up, they don’t work as well or can be noisy. They work differently.
Looking 👍
Thanks 👍
Wow super sweet builds
Yes they are
I always dual ground my sub amp, that way there is no chance of it not getting a ground.
more is better for real!
Try telling Best Buy installers that, they were Confused when I had the dual 4G grounds going into 2/1 distro into 1 4G for the amp. Only rsn I had them do it, Taco's under dealership warranty and didn't wanna take a chance.

I'm considering installing a c-pillar partition in my Navigator. I've been wondering about the best way to seal the edges of the partition without doing any damage to the stock interior. I'll probably use some type of cushiony, rubber seal. How do you plan on sealing your wall?
man, i have some ideas, but its a fluid thing right now. ive thought about gaskets, pool noodles, and more. it remains to be seen really. prolly gonna be hitting up habitat for humanity on a regular and strollin the isles.
btw check this out czcams.com/video/ANhjOR6Detk/video.html
@CarAudioEnthusiasts I just bought 4 of the LEV60F cells yesterday. $150 shipped. 😊 I bought a Headway Super Beast about a year ago and never finished building it. I made some of the leftover cells into a 12v jump pack. I used it recently and noticed the cell voltages are all over the place. After charging, the resting voltages are not consistent. My cells are from 2016 so I think they are too worn. This is why I'm starting over with brand new cells. 4 cells is all I have room for. That should be fine for my needs. I'll probably use a Kicker KXA 2400.1 that I have. I'm wired to 1 ohm and it rises to 1.3 or so. That should be around 3,000 watts. No problem for that battery. 👍

Circuit breaker
sure, but some of us are pulling 600-800amps from the front.
Would you recommend this with (2) AGM's and a Taramps 5k MD @2ohm?
Purchasing 400 amp alternator next month from JS Alternators
yes, it will help a LOT
Thoughts on 2 walmart platinum agms for 1800 watts? To clarify one under hood other to amps in trunk. I get discount.
only down side is AGM's dont start making power until your voltage drops to about 12v
@@CarAudioEnthusiasts debating on new agm under the hood or bstock loxus in trunk to existing battery. Suggestions?

I was chasing battery drain and was at a loss. I was testing everything, pulling fuses, doing this, doing that. My LTO bank kept going into lower voltages than I felt comfortable with after a few days of just sitting in the driveway. I found a video from the CZcams mechanic Scotty Kilmer. He used a ceramic 1 ohm resistor on the positive of the battery to help find it. So I ordered one from Amazon and gave it a shot. They are dirt cheap. I followed his instructions and immediately I could see a 100mV drain. I was able to trace it to my damn bluetooth led strips. The remote Bluetooth control module never turns off. It was draining my system after 2 days. As soon as I unplugged it the drain disappeared. Now my lithium bank stays at 15.3-14.8 volts for over a week of the car just sitting in the driveway.
yupyup, anything with a remote stays on, hardwire them to an ignition wire
Seen the toro set on sale 150 but not sure if i want to save get the ct sound meso 3way or save even more and get down for sound 3way set
I'm glad I have me an Ioxus cap, it really does help with my system 100%. And I've noticed my car starts up real quick, as if it's helping the starter power up. Not sure if it's suppose to do that but not complaining. Keeps the voltage stable and massages the alternator and battery when the bass drops. If ur into SQL, I recommend an ultracap!!
Just like an amplifier, the starter pulls a massive amount of amperage when it first engages. So the cap is definitely going to help it.
I know most amps, like regular 1,000 watt or less, will have a tiny parasitic drain. Less than a fraction of 1 millamp. So tiny it's negligible. Really big amps or big capacitors, I don't know what the parasitic drain is. If anyone has examples, let me know. I'm interested.
1:17 Woah, 1/10 of an amp? That's way too much. That's 100 milliamps. Most vehicles are less than 5 milliamp (1/200 of an amp), while more modern cars can be up to 15 or 20 milliamps (1/50 of an amp). Anything over 20 milliamps is usually going to be a problem. A 20 milliamp draw should still keep the battery charged enough to crank after a month. A 5 milliamp draw should last for several months. Note that you have to wait for all the vehicles computers to go into sleep mode to measure the true parasitic draw.
I got. 6/18. 4518r

Im installing battery delete. I have 320 auto teck gold series alt, two runs of 1/0 team welding cable to the back to 65 ah lithium lifepo4. Can i run Ioxus with my set-up
you can run it with ANY setup, and yes it would be awesome with your setup
Thank-you is it easy set up
Well how would I hook it up properly
Does it go between alt & lithium or alt to lithium to ioxus

@CarAudioEnthusiasts so far so good , thanks!
Bravo nicely well done good job
its gonna be a long couple weeks
@@CarAudioEnthusiasts I can't wait to see what it looks like when it's done
You also have to consider how far the port would extend out of the box on a c-pillar build. Would you be able to put your seats up.
its gonna be a flush mount port, and im shifiting towards c-pillar,
The first thing I thought was BOTH ! 😂 That being said I finally got a second alternator installed in my Suburban along with my second Ultra Capacitor and I am about to install some 4/0 gauge cable from the front of it to the back and connect it to a distribution/fuse box to run the rest of my power cables from. How many watts do you think that I will be able to handle with two 255 amp alternators two AGM batteries two ultra capacitors running the 4/0 copper welding cable ?
should be solid on 6k, and good on 10k. with some good 14v storage like a lithium bank, maybe 80-90ah, should be SOLID on 10k
@@CarAudioEnthusiasts that’s not what I was hoping to hear. I’m going to be installing a Taramps T12000 Chepeo along with the Smart Bass 5K that is already in the Suburban and then I’ll need to install something to run the mods and highs.
