Interesting vengeance story 😳
Return of Dracula was a childhood favorite of mine. Not sure why. I had a DRACULA paperback book from 1969 and the cover illustration of Dracula was pretty my based on the Return of Dracula guy .
This movie made its debut ; winter of 1975, in the NY state area. 11:30 PM (I am wondering; did anyone else see this on TV BEORE that ?) . I watched alone- for -the FIRST time . THANK GOD my parents that night , had a small party with neighbors downstairs - thus people were home . LOL. If I had been alone -- I don't know what I would have done !! Did anyone else see this WAY back when ?
Great memory!
Too bad the description doesn't help.🫤
I knew this was going to be a good movie when I saw that Karl Brainard was the property master.🙄
Good job!
This was a fun little “who done it?” Great one liners from the young lady.
Bela Lugosi would have been terrific in the role of Ormand Murks. Too bad that he wasn't in that role...
@@johnmullin7536 Agreed!
Dig these vids, thanks Chad!
Thanks for tuning in! I'm enjoying your podcasts!
One of my favourite A/C movies
I always liked this movie 🍿. Classic shadow shot at the end.
@@PreparedWolf34 I always appreciated things being left to my imagination.
I got all the reissuses
Me too! It was like time travel picking them up!
An all-time favorite is HOW TO MAKE A MONSTER! Pete the makeup man was so convincing and so mesmerizing carrying out his revenge which involved the Teenage Frankenstein and Teenage Werewolf! Loved seeing the monsterous action. TALES OF TERROR is also one of my favorite Corman movies! Got the DVD years ago and enjoy every viewing over and over and over again with our all-time favorite Classic Monster Actors!
ratfinkdaddyo is aka MONSTER MAN DAN PHILLIPS !
I custom-made my Teen Wolf into a Teenage Werewolf by painting the figure's nose black and trimming back the hair on the figure! 🐾 🐺
@@princeeverlove I’d like to see that!
Thank you for these videos!
@@ronandanne1 Thanks for watching!
Maureen O'Hara spoke highly of Charles Laughton for the rest of her life after working with him in Hunchback of Notre Dame. She loved his kindness and respected his work.
Anything with Peter Cushing is worth the watch.
Very interesting take on the vampire legend.
Africa...Afrique...See?...Dracula is sensible and an equal opportunity blood sucker...It's not the skin~its the blood within ❣️
Those colonials bring nothing but problems but a vampire tops the cake. I thought at first that the vampire was wanting a friend and I was kind of distracted by the idea after that. It would have added a nice twist had his charm been genuine. Still, a decent spin on vampires set in a non-urban setting. There was also a couple nicely executed uses of dramatic shadows that I had to appreciate.
thanks for sharing, i always look forward to these ❤
Roddy McDowell was the best. I loved him in Fright Night.
Fright Night is so great! Roddy made that movie.
Roddy McDowall, Vincent Price...an Era of Actors that were of the Golden Age... Guaranteed to entertain the Fans...Fantasy/SciFi/Horror was more innocent in nature...Creature Vs. Hero and our Hero wins...ah, the good times🦹🤺
That kid from the Omen does look like demon seed of satan.
Wasnt there also a 1950s sci fi called "Donovan's Brain"? Thank you for uploading this!
Yes! It was released in 1953. It was also based on the 1942 novel "Donovan's Brain" by Curt Siodmak. Siodmak was the screenwriter for such classics as The Wolfman (1941), Invisible Agent (1941), I walked with a Zombie (1943), and Creature with the Atom Brain (1955).
Jason and the Argonauts is brilliant.
AGREED!
“The children of the Hydra,” is such an iconic scene 🎬 from Jason and the Argonaut. Never get tired of watching this movie 🍿
I was terrified to take a bath after watching JAWS 🦈... Thankfully I bought a rubber shark, became a Shark Hunter in my mind and all was well😂😂😂
My family spent so much time at the beach when I was a kid, I didn't really get what the fuss was about. I loved the movie, but sharks never concerned me. When the movie came out there were so many shows and publications about deadly shark attacks that whipped the public into a frenzy. These days we're all better educated about sharks. Especially the threat man actually poses to them. Long live JAWS!
@@MonsterKidStudios JAWS motto: "Bite Me"🫧😆🫧
I enjoyed this video immensely.
Thanks Roger! Hope to see you again sometime soon.
Jason and the Argonauts was a favorite of mine as a kid and I still love it and watch it yearly.
Harryhausen's stop motion work is still stunning after all these years!
Always liked this movie 🍿 The story seems believable to me.
I first saw this a few years ago and loved all the subtle clues amidst the mystery. The version I watched was colorized and not colorized well at all. The color application was so inconsistent in intensity that it added a dreamy, hallucinogenic quality to an already surreal production. Having now watched both versions... I'd suggest this one because I always respect creator's intent. It works well, especially considering the era of cinema. Heh. That colorized version though. Mucking it up sort of added something, and I'd not say that about any other colorization. The one with the skiing criminals and the spider monster in the cave plain hurt my eyes.
This Movie..you can smell the 1930's mildew in the air! That's a good thing! These Ultra-B Movies did the best with what they had...but gave us shadowy halls, extra goopy makeup and glamorous women in fine silky dress... Wonderful Late Nite viewing🌜
*Bonus Comment: I have created my own Custom Monsters/Characters using pieces from MEGO and other smaller size figure parts...Some my Faves are my 8" Edgar Allan Poe, Vincent Price in tux/top hat 🎩and "She-Wolf from Outer Space"!
Couldn’t have said it better myself!
This movie is from 1944, not the 1930's
@@johnmullin7536 Oh! I own over 1,500 DVD's and I forgot..thanx!
Great opening montage and commentary. Thanks. I built all but two of the thirteen.
Thank you! I missed out on the witch, the bride, phantom, and forgotten prisoner. Maybe Kong too, I can’t remember. But the ones I did have were enough to make me love the monsters forever!
@@MonsterKidStudios I missed on the witch and Godzilla. I also built the hanging cage and the pendulum. I didn't save any of them but as an adult I got the reissues of Frankenstein, The Wof Man, Dracula, and The Mummy. They are on my shelf right now. I also had the Sabertooth Tiger, Cro Magnin Man and Pteriaactyl. What memories.
I bought up all the reissues of Monster Scenes. I loved those things when I was a kid. I also have a bunch of the Aurora reissues. What Monster Kid could resist?
I seriously doubt any of these kits ever made it to New Zealand in the 1970s - I certainly never saw any of them in the shops.
The German-Dominance of Early Horror is forever stamped by this surreal nightscape of terror at it's finest...The cabinet may be of mahogany and norwegion grain...but beware the contents within just the same....
Nicely put!
@@MonsterKidStudios Thank You...I can't escape the Monsters that stalked my childhood...they keep coming back to Life🧟♂️🧛🏻♀️🧌
Robert Englund: "Phantom of the Opera" remake...
"Werewolf in a Girl's Dormitory"...dripping with innuendo 60's style...hee hee..."Incognito Cinema Warriors" did a great job heckling this sexy Wolf flick💋
Here's Freddy! The Last True Boogeyman 👹
It’s cheap and could have come across as goofy but the actors brought great definition to their characters. The disaster was more of a background for their interactions under stress. Actually the British were good at those sort of horror movies. They remain my favorites, movies I’ll watch and not care how many times I’ve watched them before.
True. It was always the actors who played these movies so straight that made them better than they probably should have been. A credit to their profession.
Another Gem of Cinema 🎥 from Terence Fisher..Low Budget but high in creepy atmosphere, good acting & zombie-like dread 🧟♂️
Fun fact. Frankenstein was the first kit but it was kind of a fluke. In 1962 at the Hobby Industry Annual Convention they showed off the kit, but were almost laughed out of the show. However on the last day, the members could bring their families. The attendees kids flipped over the Frankenstein model (because of the tv shows). That kicked off the movie monsters.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY VINCENT PRICE! A true, favorite Price classic was HOUSE OF WAX which scared me so bad for the longest time seeing it in the '60s on black and white TV! Also in the '60s watching THE MAD MAGICIAN was always a thrill ! Yes, Vincent Price was and still is a true master of movie macabre!
1958's the Fly. Iconic.
I can’t believe I didn’t mention The Fly! Good call!
I also enjoyed Vincent Price's performance in the 1939 "Tower of London" with Basil Rathbone and Boris Karloff. Christopher Lee served admirably in the RAF in WW2
Tower of London! Good one!
I watched this colorized and it was like an acid trip with fluctuating color intensities. Fun characters in this. I felt bad about a couple of fatalities towards the end.
Perfect. This is a movie to ease the seat back, turn out the lights, and relax a bit before bed.
That’s how you do it!
😊Just knowing this movie is about an astronaut being drawn to the surface of an invisible asteroid before being shrunk by the exotic atmosphere of THE PHANTOM PLANET would make any Monster-kid want to see it right here on MONSTER KID THEATER. Good clean, sharp print showing tonight. It's been one of my favorites!
