Brownells sells an offset buffer retainer. If your headspace is correct and the pitting on your buffer is the only issue, the offset retainer will fix that issue.

I have the older version bought back in 2006 mounted on my 45-70 Guide Gun for 75$ and still working great. Apparently they went cheap disposeable to make more money.

Your video is not worth viewing unless you greatly improve your camera work. It's horrible. You can't see what you're doing. Also I've seen numerous tests comparing gun oils and REM OIL is no better.than middle of the pack. While I do have some I never used it in any of my AR's and never will. This is not a video I would revisit or recommend. Sorry!!

A well known design issue of the Buck Mark, is the two screws securing the Sight Base (plastic top strap). After firing a couple hundred rounds, those two screws WILL loosen, and sight base will be loose, the gun will start to jam. They give you two star washers, and you can certainly use blue Loctite, but eventually the screws will work themselves out :)

Their all good! I have a ruger MK1 and MK3. A browning micro buckmark, And a scoped 6" buckmark. 2 1956 high standards. All shoot so much better than any of these polymer glock, taurus, M&P, or sig 22s.

I was seriously tempted to go with a 22/45 Lite for my first gun. My cousin bought one for his wife and installed a Venom red dot on it. It's nice and light, plus the tear down in beyond ingenious. Unfortunately, I wanted to be able to co-witness with the rear sights, so I found the Buck Mark Hunter (which, I think, is a recent model). It comes with a Crossfire red dot installed that co-witnesses with the rear sights, so even though it's a lot harder to field strip and reassemble, I'm guessing it's going to be a good way to ease into handgun ownership. Not cheap, though.

Bought a Buckmark Plus in about 1990. The walnut grips feel so great and look expensive. Takedown is easy, just two blade type screws on the top of the slide. Very easy. Feels like a higher quality gun than my MK 2'S.

Sounds like your upper is a bit out of spec, just run it without a buffer retaining pin. If you don't like that idea, there are several companies that make "offset buffer retaining pins", that part usually remedies this problem.
