I really had no idea what this song really meant until I met My Lady. But backin '73 when I was a young and foolish bass player this was one of the many songs that I would put my bass down, sit back and just enjoy the talent behind the creations of the Stampeders. The Stampeders never created a song I didn't like, in fact I love almost everything they've recrded. Thank you for posting this karaoke version. Now, if only I could sing...

Karaoke. No... it's not the original singers (it's us...trying our best) and it is not the original music. But, Karaoke is a great addition to the real thing. Certainly, some Karaoke discs are downright sad copies and even a talented, proven singer may be in trouble trying to strut their stuff..some other versions (sound choice) are good Karaoke copies and can truly be enjoyed. Myself, I Love The Buckinghams songs..I read somewhere that, 1967 that they were the top dogs on the charts with maybe 6 top ten hits. I'm not saying that The Buckinghams were the greatest band of all. But, I respect them for all those songs of that year. Thank you "Strickly" 60's
