Coming back to this wonderful song while reading Dracula Daily. Renfield deserves so much better in adaptations!

Okay, but as someone who has read one of the play adaptations of Dracula, this is the second time I've found Renfield written in a queer coded way. Not only does this track sound like the perfect type of unrequited love song, but the play I read through basically depicts his dynamic with Dracula as an abusive relationship. Idk, I just find it interesting how many times people come to the same conclusion about Renfield's dynamic with Dracula.
