The selective assessment in women yogis or yoginis. When you didn't find women Hatha yoga posture evidence then it isn't out there. Yogi or yoginis aren't only who do asana. That is the problem when west comes and do selective academic research and zero understanding of culture and experiential knowledge

shame on the British for what they did to the noble, incredible Indian people. India was the Golden Bird - the richest country on earth in nominal wealth, and richest in spirituality and arts, giving birth to many major religions and schools of thought., Britain came in like savages with their guns and wreaked havoc on India. 45 Trillion looted, millions left to die in man made famines, treated worse than dogs. Its amazing how India came back and kept their dignity, they didnt look for revenge or waste their energy being angry like Black Americans in America or middle easterners have with their issues. Indians are the most resilient and enterprising people in the world. Im sad that my ancestors went through all that, and I hope the descendents of those who did those crimes against Humanity reap their karma one day. Karma being a Hindu concept by the way. Bless the eternal Dharmic people. Gods favourities... Shame on Britain and those who tried to make Hindus go extinct.

Emperor Caracalla in 212AD (I believe) granted full citizenship to all free people living in the Roman Empire, so after this date it was incorrect to distinguish between "Britons" and "Romans" but perhaps a line would have been drawn between literate, propertied Romans and the lower classes, who would have had fewer resources to defend their rights, example right to trial or appeal to the emperor before being sentenced to execution or "bloodied by rods".

just.... this is not really new - I come from a frontier region of the Roman Empire. I also really dislike the "ooh, everybody loves the Romans and does not think about the atrocities..." vibe. History is complex. (plus I really hate the colonialism thing because applying it to maths and physics is quite en vogue with a certain group - maths cares not about where an idea comes from, just that it is correct!)

I came across this presentation only today. The artists have done a great job. But someone mentioned the setting is a bit unconventional, does not evoke the spirit as a presentation on a temple premises. Someone else also mentioned about returning the items to India. That is a nice thought. However, let's not forget how our people ruined Salar Jung Museum in Hyderabad. Rumor is several board members moved some of the items to their homes. Not that I am against have the valuable items back to India. Just a thought. For those who can read Telugu, Sri Munipalle Raju has written a story veerakumkuma on this topic.

45 trillion dollars taken out of india. We will never get back that money or the kionoor diamond. Atleast give us our ancient statues back as they were desecrated from our ancient temples that is far more valuable.
