I think I must have been half asleep when writing my last comment sorry about that! in terms of personalized dataset would that simply be input we enter, data that we elevate, or something much more complex like everyone builds a personal knowledge base and then we can select our data set and that of our friends (with their permission) so that it's like our friends or colleagues in specific domains can assist with a problem - like a toggleable dataset? I guess an easier way to explain it would be like if someone was playing an MMO and had the ability to download their friends blocklist - they might trust one person to block people and only take their data - but if we took that one step further it would be more of a weighted recommendation - with people who added other players as friends counterbalancing the data

that was really interesting btw if for some reason there are only like 5 views at this point but 5 hours of watch time it's because I took a nap right after opening the tab not realizing it would be a nap lol it's very good to hear the thought process you sound like you're REALLY deep into something right now which is great but there were a few moments where I felt like I was missing context because the level of knowledge is way lower than what the average viewer has (unless I stumbled into a coding only channel) it felt very intimate and it was really nice to hear the first min where you said hi and talked through the logic behind the project while mentioning a bunch of things who is Kwai? what is solid? (many questions later on in the video) there are so many good lines in here like "um that annoys me" haha there are a lot of thoughts going on here and perspectives like "not logging in but connecting" I was expecting the words to show up as flat - seeing something new was surprising but very engaging visual. app. quote list. the way the web works right now. feeding a community server. we should have a choice. just wanted to play. would use on own. good place to start with open source this is so dense for the level of graphics and text on screen I'm very happy it was short but this might actually be easier to understand if it's twice as long and more time was spent on the packaging rather than actually making something cool that works and I just want to remind you I loved it but I also had to re-watch a few times because I was so lost on the details it was really funny hearing stuff like "protecting our data sets and building self sovereignty and whatnot" like eh no big deal or how "I need a new journal but I don't feel like paying for the pages but what if I made a digital one" it's just so loaded with thoughts that create thoughts it's filled with potential titles like "a democratized self-sovereign digital world"

This is so cool! I have run into an issue though, whenever I try and send f 100 through the serial port it responds with the PARSING ERROR, incorrect number of parameters. I have checked but I'm using the code from the video so I'm not sure what has gone wrong. Would you know by any chance?

Thank for this awesome tutorial, it's so useful! I have a problem that I cant solve: I am using a knob in Arduino, and I just want to send the number that is shown in the serial monitor to the radius attribute of a circle. I've used a Dat to CHOP, and a Math CHOP after that. Then I drag the channel to the radious atribute of a Circlr TOP, but it gives an error saying that float() must be a string or a number. I thought it was already a number because it went through the Math CHOP, but I cant solve this. Hope anyone can help me! :)

Hey! This was a great intro for me to get started with using both the Arduino and Touchdesigner together. I’m working on a project right now where I built a recorder that records the video in. I would really like to activate it by triggering the arduino using a motion sensor. So when the arduino takes that motion as an input, it would talk to touchdesigner to turn the recording on. Do you know if thats possible? Thanks!
