In my opinion abilities are useless, and items to. The ultimate meta is to just go for 2-3 Archers and upgrade them as fast as possible. They are op, they can kill anything before it even touches the island, exept those fat archers, therefore the trait that makes items cheaper is S+ tier, cause together with the money stone you can make so much money which you then put into archers and win easily.

I know i'm extremely late to the series in general, but in 40:00 with that annoying plane, you can press E-Landing to force him to line up in front of the front guns. He gets deleted almost instantly like 80% of the time, which with .303s is good enough

What upgrade do you have for your worker ants? Mine die in seconds so try to get other ants up and never build alot of workers, but seeing your strat, i might change it up.. just started playing the game so still learning

mountain can be especially helpful against brute enemies as you commander can go toe to toe when fighting them

Using Hunker Down before engaging packs of aliens on your soldiers, can be very useful as well in saving your units when surrounded or about to be surrounded.

Well at the start you saying that xcom is about moving slowly and making right desicions, but unfortunately that would work in the first part. For some unknown reason devs decided they know better and added obnoxious timers to almost every mission and on top of that avatar project. They justify it by critisizing players way of combat, telling they playing it the wrong way, stalling the combat and their "changes" promote taking risk, basically saying cmon move your ass and risk your soldiers. If devs would be smart they would put in the game switch that allows to turn off and on the mission timers and etc. But instead after many years they only introduced option to double the timers. If game had few bugs or was severely unbalanced it would not be as bad as telling players how to play the game and have fun, so i sincerely hope they company dies and they learn from their mistakes.

I have never had an EMP grenade NOT stun its target for 2 turn, and I regularly use is for sectopods and other strong enemies, so I am assuming its chance to stun is very high. Does anyone know exactly what it is?

I use Jabena on Pikemen early game, any island with melee only vikings and a chokepoint is easy gold. Just sit back, sip from your Holy Grail, and watch the Pikemen do their job.

I don't understand. All I have heard from this vid with the exception of soldier capture is just, common sense? Like yeah prioritize armour, can't use your new fancy plasma gun if you die before you can. At least the lost one I never considered before now but the rest? It was well put together but basically all I learned was the equivalent of "use your head and you'll be fine."

This game is such a gem. Starting another play through and am amazed how well it holds up to games now. Epic story, cutscenes, skills, building, etc. Other games in the genre just cannot get the formula right as this one did. The modding community just adds to the repeatability of the game.
