Oh goodness! Little Ebony-Skye is growing up and the time has come to get spayed! She looks so pretty in her hot pink recovery suit, and indeed, it is a genius idea! Ebony reminds me so much of my favorite cocker. I lost her in 2006 and still miss her. Has Ebony visited a groomer yet? She should be coming acclimated to the process as early as possible.
We lost her "sister" in 2020, so we totally know what you mean. We are sorry for your loss. Ebony had seen a groomer for nail clipping (We are afraid to do it!) by this time. She is actually older now than in the video, and does well at the groomers, thankfully.
Oh my God!!! Fluffy little Ebony-Skye! What a delight to watch every week! It was so funny in the backyard when she took L for a spin and when she was growling at the tarp on the ground!!! Please forgive the copy and paste reply: I hope I explain this okay. The mat is for dogs that get nervous when going to groomers or vets. You are supposed to eventually use the mat when you go to these places as a safe spot for your dog. We haven't felt the need to use it so far since she kind of settled down, thankfully.

How can they make them so cute!!! Such a sweet and precious little girl...I think that the pole is an excellent idea! Actually the laser pointer is not even that great for cats either! Cooper plays and runs after his squicky rubber balls but my cat, Rosalie, has one of these poles and it's a great exercise for her! So, it's wonderful that little Ebony-Skye took to it! Thank you for this video!
Ebony-Skye may be the only dog that doesn't really like chasing balls. We keep trying though! Yeah, we are so glad we found the flirt pole! 😄 We are glad that your cat enjoys that, too!

Oh my God, THAT FACE!!! And all that hair!!! Ebony-Skye, are you wearing a wig??? Soooo cute! Please, please, please, don't ever have her hair clipped short by a groomer!!! Her hair is way too precious for that! I've never seen such beautiful curls on a Cocker Spaniel! Ebony-Skye, you look like Farrah Fawcett from back in the day! And Farrah was gorgeous! --- I don't think Ebony is aggressive but, mind you, I think that Cocker Spaniels in general have gotten a bad wrap somehow over the years. My own vet always tells me that Cockers are biters but Cooper is far from being one. He might be a little obsessive/possessive, even over the top, but let's not forget that these dogs are hunters and they are very but VERY high-energy pups, specially at a younger age. They need a lot of exercise to get them moving and using their nose. Cesar Millan (the dog whisperer) once said: "a good dog is a tired dog". So exercise, training, play... and repeat... I hope she has mellowed down a bit, now that she is a young adult... Thank you again for this lovely video!
We love her curly hair, too! We love the comparison to Farrah Fawcett! We agree with you that it's more about boredom or frustration than it is about aggression. That little cream pie is such a delight to watch every week! When she was playing with her squeaky stuffed animal, Cooper thought it was his squeaky rubber ball and was looking for it everywhere! So precious! Ebony-Skye is outstanding with her training! She is so quick and so focussed, she is just pure joy to watch! Oh my gosh...I am so impressed with that little sugar pie!!! In the backyard, when she took something in her mouth and you said "drop it", she actually did!!! Well done Ebony-Skye!!! What a smart little one she is! And that treat puzzle, well, I actually got the exact same one for Cooper! He's got 3 puzzles now, from intermediate to advance level, and he figured them all out quite quickly! But those are such smart games for our little pups! It certainly works that energy out of them, at least for a little while! Cooper demands his puzzle now every afternoon, around 3pm, can't miss it! And now, I've got to get that IQ ball!!! Those first few months of puppy life are so precious... I missed those with Cooper because he was already 7 months old when he came to live with me, but we've been catching up with lost time and making our own precious moments for the last 7 years now...

Ebony is so sweet and laid back compared to my hurricane little boy.
She has good days and bad days -- sometimes, she has trouble settling down (for example, when the trainer is here). From what we understand, they need lots of physical activity and mental stimulation. We know that sometimes we don't give her quite enough -- it can be difficult timewise. We just need to keep trying. We know puppies can get so wild sometimes -- that's part of their charm 😀
My little Sunday night treat is here!!! So cute in her little fuchsia harness! She is such a girlie girl! She is just hilarious when she is growling at the slicker brush and making those sounds like a squeaky toy! And when she is listening to the baby laughing, she is like “what the heck is that??? Ebony-Sye is so entertaining! We never know what she is gonna do next!!! And her selfies just melt my heart… Ebony-Skye, you are as sweet as maple syrup…thank you for this moment of pure joy! 💞 🐶🐾

What was the mother's temperament like? That usually gives you a clue, all my pups have had similar personalities to their mothers.
We are not sure -- we only met her mother briefly. From what we saw, she was loving and playful.😀

Where did you get your recipes?
As far as the sweet potato treat goes, we found it online back when we had our first puppy. We slice them thin, and bake one side for 45 minutes at 250F, and then flip them and bake them for another 30 minutes or so depending on how chewy or crispy you want them. Change the time according to the texture, and how thick or thin you slice them. I hope this helps.

Cuteness and sweetness at its best!!! The best thing that happened to Cooper and me today on Easter Sunday is to watch little Miss Ebony-Skye do her little tricks!!! She is a smarty girl for sure!
