Myst was an interesting title when released. It, along with The 7th Guest, sold a lot of CDROM drives back in the day. The puzzles seem a little obtuse to start, but frankly, once you catch on to the basic pattern of them, which is largely gated by the mechanics of the game, they tend to fall into place pretty easily.

By the way is there any other way to get this game other than beaten all of night trap? I probably could if I really tried but sadly enough I've never fully beaten the game. I've gotten 99% was my best but never 💯

Just stumbled on this video thanks for the kind words haha glad you had a laugh with this and all my other releases. The games where all made in 20 and 21 is recently become a parent and was going through a bad break up and just threw them together with old film projects from years previous I wanted to be creative but couldn’t get out due to Covid and a baby at home so I would sit up all night throwing them together. Knowing how bad they were and I enjoyed watching people take the piss out of them on twitch and YT so it then became addictive churning them out it helped me through some bad times. Early 2023 I threw a couple more out that where even weirder and low effort but more experiments in endurance one game that can endure seizures and another that is space travel game that’s more boring than desert bus and takes 60hours to complete but I hid ways to speed run it in less than a day haha. I also turned a bunch of old footage into shitty amityville films last year and they have also provided me with lots of laughs watching and reading reactions haha. I do all this for fun and genuinely enjoy people shitting on them. I have made some legit well received films won some awards and even had a film play Cannes in the past. But my heart was always into trash. Anyways thanks again for all your content

The majority of characters in this game are actually very docile to the viewer in the show compared to the game. Such characters are Judgement boy Mummy dog Mummy papa Cactus gunman (Second guest) Angel/devil dog (Sort of?) Clock master and my son. This is my personal opinion since all of these little guys have a bronze and a gold side.

Besides judgement boy my favorite character is Catherine and I don't know why she's just been my special interest eversince I was a kid and saw the game for the first time which is uhm... maybe that explains why I am the way that I am today

I had pretty much the same problem when I played it, I just couldn't get it to work.. controls didn't do anything. But for me it just.. kept not working. Not sure why, was a shame. Refunded it in the end

Fun fact the background for the horror shows is the dream theater from season 2

Honestly i prefer the show's version of judgement boy. In the dub i prefer his song and voice, and he springs moral dilemmas on you and revealed your subconscious answer. I get why they had to change how he worked for gameplay but it just feels like the game doesnt do him justice

This game probably did worse for both the reason there was a big videogame crash in 83 (though much more in US console gaming than anything else) and after people actually played Dragon's Lair for more than a couple of plays they were realizing that it's not really much of a game at all. Once you get over the pretty cartoon you can barely pay attention to you are just playing a version of Simon more or less. Why play that when stuff like the Star Wars game was out? Or one of the Pac Mans? Games where you actually were playing it and could even have some strategy and skill? Robotron and Galaga are still legendary and fun. FMV games uhh.. not so much. People were realizing it even then. 50 cents was a really big ask for that.

Fun bit of trivia. What might be the first retrogaming podcast "Retrogaming Radio"? The host Shane Monroe is or was on some kind of committee about this game to make sure modern ports n stuff were done right and to spec. Gives one an idea of his tastes in games. (Bad and full of early 80s computer platform Copium. His blind play of Chrono Trigger got him a lot of death threats for ragging on it. He also hated the term podcast cuz he hated Apple.). No clue if he is even still alive these days. But his extended community is involved with stuff like the Colecovision Chameleon and Amico.

Lieberman "protected" kids from this game he had very little actual knowledge of. So he could send them to die or do warcrimes in Iraq a half decade or so later. He also didn't know wtf was going on there either. Its why I never voted for that idiot.

I was also a bit confused as to what my instrument would be. A tuba? Too heavy to lug around. A violin? I'd need a bow. But, in the end, I just picked up my baton, rapped on the music stand to call the band to order, and sent out a new piece in simple 4/4. And the band played on.

I did my own playthrough of this game on my channel, but I read the dialogue and translated text out loud. On a couple of occasions, I'd be translating, and I'd hear the musical cue that sounds whenever the loop ends. At which point I'd start reading (aloud, that is) at warp speed to try and jam everything into those last seconds. I sounded like an auctioneer on a caffeine overdose.
