Was just there visiting this week. Didn’t skate it. But said exactly what you said, “This park was not designed by a skater.” Looks like an AI fail Not hating. I appreciate any community that invests in a park. The kids I saw (scooter kids - on a rainy day) were having fun. And THAT is what it’s about. The other guy in your video obviously rips and has figured out how to ride this park. Solid review!

You skipped out on mentioning a few things which happened to be my favorite features the last time I visited: The quarter to quarter funbox in the middle which I would just air to flat and strange curved rail that went over the grass. This park will be missed if it has been decided it will be demolished. Going to visit this weekend to at least get one more sesh in!

They remind me of the Nike SB Zoom FP, arguably my favorite skate shoe ever. They were a divisive looking, EXTREMELY durable tech shoe with a super similar silhouette to these. The local skateshop let me trade in my ASICS Gel Vickkas, that unfortunately didn’t fit, for a boroque brown colorway of the Ishods. Tbh I don’t love the colorway but I’m pretty excited to skate these things. The fit is fr phenomenal.

That looks awesome. Way better than the actual Sk8 park that was built in Raleigh. I haven’t skated in years but would love to come push around here.

It’s a shame the city’s choosing to demolish all that work! For me this is the most fun park in the triangle, some funky stuff you don’t really find anywhere else

I'm gonna try, thank you for sharing your expierience! I most motivating factor is that I don't like super grippy griptapes so I think it will work beautifly and will save shoes at the same time. Also I don't like that normal grip scraches away my backpack when I attach the board to it so that will be a bonus!

I went in May and they made our food to order outside the menu and I didn't use sunscreen and was perfectly fine.

As a rollerblader.. he’s spot on. Super weird park. The bank with the brick is fun to hit the quarter and grind across and then down the ledge. All the hills and bumps and all that lead into walls or ledges or fences. It’s fun, but in weird way.

it probably cost them 13¢ to send you those shoes. the promotion you are giving them is worth more to them than that. Giant companies should be doing more of this.

I been using gulf wax for years. IMO it is just as good if not better than the designer wax. It’s the only wax you will ever need…and yes I love wax! Better to slide out than to stick.
