Silverstone National Circuit VSCC 2022 Specials Race Morgan Super Aero
An extremely hot day at Silverstone, but fantastic vintage racing. Having Qualified 4th on the grid with a tricky practice session and overheating tyres, I made my usual handicapped (one back wheel) start and dropped back a few places. I gradually fought my way back to an eventual 3rd place, having had a fantastic battle with GN / Nash "piglet" and a rather potent Wolseley Hornet over the first few laps.

First time out at Oulton Park in the Super Aero E.B Ware Replica Vintage racing Morgan. Learning both the track and the car amongst a grid of fabulous Pre-1930 Racing cars. An excellent day spent finding the limits of brake temperature and two wheels rather than three!

Thank you! I must have watched this twenty times. The racing experience (making it work enough to 'drive it') must be fun as f*ck, but you can think to 'properly' repairing whatever you're driving... can't you? That was an incredible, one of a kind, machine. In any case, thanks for the ride ; )

Fun stuff! What does the Moggy weigh and what power does it put out? I've raced a 3 wheeler in slalom, the prototype Grinnall Scorpion 3....I found it's quite easy to balance on two wheels but I don't think I'd fancy trying that on wire wheels.... Brilliant race!
Thanks! And its mainly the back wheel i try not to think about on high speed corners!! About 90hp. Methanol, fixed ignition timing, and lots of torque! I've not had it on the scales, but I'd be very surprised to see anything over 500kg or so.
@@sandfordandrews6857 Google says 406kg, but I reckon it should be less. Certainly the old maximum for 'cyclecars' used to be 400kg. I think you might be pleasantly surprised! 90 bhp of methanol breather would give it wings....the Grinnall is about the same, using a 4 cylinder fuel injected BMW bike engine, and genuinely around 400kg.

Actually.... it's really good...yes you do with some more cameras...or better placed...but the action inside the cockpit and feeling is there... I feel too, that you could go faster...still... Well done..

I didn't realize Morgan's were that fast. Lots of body language on the driving technique, almost like sidecar motos. And skinny little tires. Looks like a lot of fun!

Loved seeing this all-action, skilful driving - there's so much going on! Looks like proper old-school fun. I went to Cadwell Park for the first time recently. Incredible track and a wonderful place to watch (and even better to drive by the looks of this!). Perfect setting for vintage racing. Loved seeing old bikes there too.
NICE Driving! Anyone that think driving a race car is not physical needs to watch this!
