Last Salute is an all volunteer all veteran full service Military Funeral Honor Guard serving Southern New Jersey. Last Salute provides FREE military funeral honors ceremonies for active and veteran military personnel. Last Salute conducts well over 125 ceremonies a year and is a 501(C)3 W-30 Veterans Service Organization.
Last Salute is not funded by any government agency or the military and relies solely upon donations to conduct these professional and elaborate ceremony services.

MISSION STATEMENT
Last Salute’s mission is to conduct highly professional and profound military funeral honors ceremonies for military members and veterans commensurate with their service to our great nation.
SUMMARY & HISTORY
Last Salute military funeral honor guard is an all veteran all volunteer 501C3 veterans services organization established to provide a grander more ceremonial final tribute honoring the nobility and commitment of military service. These services are dignified, professional and performed to a standard which families expect and service members deserve.
Last Salute ceremonies include “dignified transfer” of remains by military transport to the final resting place, an artillery salute of a single volley fired from a Civil War cannon, the tolling of a large memorial bell three times, a three volley rifle salute, the rendering of Taps, the folding and presentation of a memorial flag.
In addition, each ceremony includes the ritual of memorializing the fallen by entering their prayer card or image into Last Salute’s Memorial Prayer Box. A family member places their loved one inside the box thereby making them a permanent member of the honor guard, traveling with us everywhere we go and overwatching everything we do.
Last Salute’s elaborate ceremonies and professionalism have resulted in many requests by military units for Last Salute to conduct services including services on military installations.
Last Salute is honored by the support of many Medal of Honor recipients who have fired Last Salute’s cannons, held and honored the Memorial Prayer Box and signed the interiors of Last Salute’s military vehicles to unite in honoring the fallen. Last Salute was the only veterans organization included in rendering honors with the United States Marine Corps for the last World War II Medal of Honor recipient, Hershel “Woody” Williams.
Last Salue’s cannons have been fired to honor the fallen by Medal of Honor recipients, Congressmen, Senators, Mayors, Police Chiefs, Fire Chiefs, many military officers and commanders and the Attorney General of The United States.
Last Salute does not charge for its services and relies solely upon donations to continue its important mission of honoring the fallen, comforting the families and perpetuating the values of military service to society.

Beautiful demonstration.I have my grandfather's burial flag,WW11Army I want to put it in a case and I know the flag is not properly folded as the tail is udone.I want to fix it but I don't want to be disrespectful in unfolding it as I've learned it's sacred.I will refold it as you demonstrated,I feel he would understand my respect for doing this.Thank you for your Service God Speed Semper Fi 🇺🇲

I was handed one at age 4 at my father's funeral in 1968. I have since attempted to pass along the proper folding knowledge but I now realize that I wasn't as precise as I should have been. Thank you for your service. And thank you for passing along this knowledge.

Look at buying one 20 years ago. A friend of mine was a mechanic in the marines. He told me not to get one. The matinance alone would break me wallet. These thing start leaking just from short term storage.
Like any vehicle, Humvees require maintenance. If properly maintained, they rarely leak unless there is a problem just like any other vehicle. Ours are incredibly reliable and even when something major breaks, they still manage to complete whatever mission is at hand. We have driven them cross country and owned them for more than 10 years. They always tow heavy trailers without any issues. Please keep in mind that military mechanics are very young and typically lack experience. They are also repairing vehicles that other young people are beating to death without ever checking fluids or other items while operating in some of the harshest conditions on the planet. Sand and heat destroy everything from helicopters to air conditioners. If you want one, buy one. If it was well taken care of it will last forever.

How do you ensure that the stars are properly lined up on the folded flag in the rows of 3, 2 and 1? I see them centered very nicely sometimes, but mine don't always turn out like that.

Wow. What a blessing. Above & beyond anything I could have prayed, imagined , or asked for , to lay our dad to rest. A time of celebration of my dad’s life, whom instilled in us , the love for our country. And our beloved Flag & what she stands for. 🇺🇸 I’ll never look at our beautiful flag the same way again . Dad would be so very happy how beautiful this ceremony was. Appreciate what you do & so very grateful to have experienced & witnessed the respect to every detail, you show to your fellow veterans.
