COOPERSTOWN 1994 INDUCTION SPEECH BY PHIL RIZZUTO. I WAS THERE THAT DAY IT WAS HOT 85 DEGREES BUT I ENJOYED EVERY MINUTE OF IT. THIS IS CLASSIC PHIL RIZZUTO.
What the hell, whose shadow was that at the end, Jennifer's? I be!I ever ever word he told her at the end, was he lying? Excellent who done it!
Ida lulu no was such an awesome actress. This was her best movie ever each scene drew you in further. This movie kept me on edge til the end, loved ever minute of it.
Totally agree, beautiful lady, amazing talent
Ida Lupino is 100% pure Fire in what- ever She was involved in during a very Male dominated time. I think she put together some truly exciting works. She was behind the camera as well as being a beauty infront of it. Mp
i liked ida lupino but she is such a nosy parker and is she everr going to start working???
I loved the movie.💙🕊🌟🌟🌟
If you don't watch the last 40 seconds of this movie, it's like you haven't watched it at all! Incredible ending! ♥️✨🕊️
Quite a tantalizing story. keeps you in suspense until the last 1 minute!!! Well done! Thanks. Ida Lupino as usual, performs her best just enough to fit the part. The gentleman, he is superb too. I dont know his name.
😎 👍👍
She has a voice like Janet Leigh.
The character Orin (Robert Nichols) was even more annoying than the unseen Jennifer was supposed to have been! There's nothing at all good about someone who gossips. Especially someone who denies that they do.
La canción 😍😍😍😍
I live near Santa Barbara and was surprised to see much of this movie was filmed there. My first clue was the Montecito market, but I thought it might just be a coincidence. Then there's a scene at the Santa Barbara Mission and the estate no mistaking is backdropped by the Santa Ynez Mountain range. I'm old enough to remember the TV series Adam and Eve starring Ida lupino and Howard Duff. And who could forget High Sierra starring Humphrey Bogart and beautiful Ida lupino as Marie. At the end of the movie Marie: Mister, what does it mean when a man crashes out?, Bogart's last words. Healy: Crashes out? That's a funny question for you to ask now, Sister. It means he's free.
Jennifer (Lupino) seems so fearful and anxious throughout the movie that I found it hard to watch.
Good movie, but at the ending. Who was the shadow that was walking across the path path toward the house?
Jennifer. Same as at the beginning.
What a stupid story! Howard Duff and Ida Lupino great actors but this was stupid! Crazy music too!
Can’t go wrong with a James Wong Howe movie or hubby -wife team of Aida and Howard. How come I missed this on TCM? Thanks, You-Tube for making these films noises FREE! TCM is very costly on cable and even streaming! I love Ida as a director too! Way ahead of her time! Dr. Priscilla VanBuskirk, Ph.D./J.D.
Thank you for Wonderful Video!
A "B" movie that is so BAD, it's actually quite GOOD, thanks for this upload!
OMG what a bad movie, it doesn’t make any sense, what a lot of nonsenses 😮😮😮😮
Wow, terrible movie. Please save your evening for something more coherent and better acted. This one is nonsensical.
The ‘scary’ background music is hilarious! I just LOVE these old movies! Thanks so much for finding and sharing this gem.
Very atmospheric, obviously filmed entirely in a large house rather than a studio - the echoing voices and footsteps added to its reality.
There's a slight difference in sound @ 1:04:45. It's more discernable with headphones.🎧
Great oldie! Love how she went there to work but never did a thing except fret, snoop and speculate. Details, details! Thanks so much for sharing.
Just watched almost half an hour of guess work delivered by corny acting accompanied by some really annoying meaningless music. That's enough for me!
Por favor en español
¿Por que?
A reflection 👀😂
Well, for my money Hollis is a creep.
Always like Ida Lupino and Howard Duff back in those days. Movie was ok a bit slow.
This was one scary-ass movie.
7:03 “throw out Jenny’s things, they’re useless...” two minutes later “don’t forget you’re sending me Jenny’s things” W H A T?!?! tf?
Is the shadow the ghost of Jennifer?
It IS Jennifer. She didn't die at the asylum. She escaped.😳🙀
Women actually had hairstyles back then, tidy, smart, individual,,, not like the long seaweed * styles * of today.
Josephine Sweeny was the hair stylist. btw, Don't you just LOVE Whoopi Goldberg's "hair"? 🤢🤮
Not a war movie???
I loved the suspense in that movie, Ida Lupino as an actor and a director is great, thanks for sharing !☺
that shudderingly high pitched voice used to add fear into a scene ... yikes... like nothing I've heard before😳
cut your losses, dude. pretty silly, terrible music.
That Spanish style house isn't really scary looking.
The 19 years old student looks like he's 40... Usually, in the old movies, men seemed or were much older...they didn't fit the reality of characters, the same with asian roles played by white actors...
Pretty dumb movie
yup
boring movie.
Howard Duff plays a real stalker in this film. Never heard of a doorbell, apparently. I’d be tempted to shoot his ass.
This is my kind of old black/white film. 👌🏼
So did Hollis set up Agnes. So he and Lorna could do her in?
Bingo! @notmedaddyoo @lshapiro they tried to bury me
They had quite the tempestuous marriage. Howard was a good actor, but apparently didn’t have the charisma to make it at the top. He definitely had the charm with women and would have loved to have had a longer term relationship with Ava Gardner, I’ve read. Still it was Ida’s longest marriage and she was devastated at his death. Seems there are few happy endings in Hollywood.
K, so not much in, but why didn’t the Missing Persons Bureau not take hold of her things, go thru em, n take that diary? ...
Hunk a hunk a burning love what a man
That was a beautiful property and villa.
stupid writting, acting, stupid, music, stupid ending
