The parts may be different but they are compatible with the safe, just make sure that Cannon also sent you the adapter plate, if they sent you the parts they also had to send instructions to your email (videos), if you don't have the videos call them and They will send them to you.

I'm truly sorry you had problems with your safari safe. I purchased a little bigger one 8 years ago it's not a safari. My NL key pad went out so I was locked out. Ordered the new revised system that is better but the cable gauge is bigger which was the problem on the NL. But I can't use the new key pad to open the safe. I called cannon in Las Vegas Nevada and after a few minutes they are sending me an NL pad to open my safe for free and replace all the internals and key pad I purchased. 😉

Same thing here I received a new NL model lock from cannon at no cost but its still won't open it. I took the handle off and pushed the rotating pin in, didn't help. I'm going to start drilling its been locked for the last three months, I need in it.

Ok, wait...what?? I'm trying to figure out how to get into my safe as we speak. I hadn't locked it in months, just locked it to move it to another room and now the keypad doesn't work at all. I thought it was a dead battery, but how do I find out for sure?

Holly cow I have the same problem. The same safe and the same wrong replacement lock. The locksmith wanted $550 just to open the safe and a additional fee to install the lock. I managed to get it open but the replacement part is completely useless. Most expensive paper weigh ever.

Hi Scott. Thanks for the vid. Same problem here. What model is your safe? Mine is alot like yours. Cannon said they would send a Smith but apparently all I'm getting is a new lock and pad. Knowing what you know now, what would you have done to open your safe?

Did you just hit the handle with a rubber mallet or what? Mine is doing the same crap. I’ll just use it for overflow and buy a real safe now

What we have here is another electronic lock failure....Yet again.

The wire are bad for breaking at the battery and or at the solenoid. I just got a safari safe from a buddy that didn't work figured the solenoid was bad but found broken wire at the cap that snaps on battery and was also broke at solenoid just re soldered it.

How did it turn out? Did you fix it? Btw... perfect use of the “F bombs”, to show the frustration Cannon support gave you!

The fact that you were able to drill through that door that easily without tripping any relocker is a red flag. These safes are junk.
